According to statistics from Mong Cai Border Gate Customs Branch, from the beginning of 2024 to March 29, 2024, 558 enterprises carried out procedures through the area, an increase of 149 enterprises compared to the same period in 2023.

The Branch processed 17,852 declarations, with a total turnover of 710.14 million USD, an increase of 30% in declarations and 30.76% in turnover over the same period in 2023.

It can be said that in the first quarter of 2024, the work of supporting and accompanying businesses continues to be a bright spot of Mong Cai Border Gate Customs Branch.

In particular, the Department has had many innovations and creativity, working closely with businesses to carry out customs procedures through the area.

According to Deputy Head of Mong Cai Border Gate Customs Branch Nguyen Thi Thuy Ha, in 2024, the Branch will synchronously deploy many solutions to support and accompany businesses.

Specifically, establish working groups (led by the Branch's leaders) to work directly at the enterprise's headquarters to grasp the production and business situation of the enterprise; listen and resolve difficulties and obstacles for the enterprise.

In addition, the Department propagates new policy documents and issues of concern to businesses through dialogue conferences and Fanpage, as well as ensures customs clearance of goods, avoiding congestion at border gates.

Typically, in March 2024, Mong Cai Border Gate Customs Branch organized a consultation conference with more than 20 processing, export manufacturing, export processing enterprises and FDI enterprises.

Through the conference, the Department exchanged, discussed, and received information, opinions, difficulties and problems in import-export activities of enterprises, problems in goods delivery procedures to promptly resolve problems of enterprises according to their authority or propose to competent authorities.

In addition, strengthening the cooperative relationship between Mong Cai Border Gate Customs Branch and enterprises, increasing support measures, removing difficulties for enterprises, contributing to creating maximum convenience for import and export activities through the area.

At the working sessions, leaders of Mong Cai Border Gate Customs Branch introduced the customs management policy mechanism, opening and closing time of the border gate and pre-arranged customs clearance on Saturdays and Sundays through Bac Luan II Bridge area. Most recently, on March 28, 2024, representatives of Mong Cai Border Gate Customs Branch, Mong Cai International Border Gate Border Guard Station, Mong Cai International Border Gate Management Board and Tan Dai Duong International Import-Export Joint Stock Company had a meeting to welcome and work with representatives of Vietnam Machinery Development Investment Joint Stock Company (headquartered in Duong Noi ward, Ha Dong district, Hanoi city).

A representative of Vietnam Machinery Investment and Development Joint Stock Company said that the company's main business areas include importing, distributing, and trading medium- and heavy-duty trucks, semi-trailers and specialized vehicles; operating warranty, maintenance, and repair service stations, etc.

To prepare for the import of trucks, semi-trailers, specialized vehicles and necessary machinery and equipment, the Company has come, worked, learned and discussed a number of procedures related to import and export activities through Mong Cai International Border Gate.

The Company's representative also hopes that in the near future, it will be possible to negotiate with Chinese partners to bring import and export goods through Mong Cai International Border Gate, contributing to the overall development of Mong Cai City as well as the development of Mong Cai Border Gate Economic Zone.
