According to Tuoi Tre Online , domestic airlines such as Vietjet, Vietravel Airlines, Bamboo Airways... are planning to aggressively recruit flight attendants and accelerate the expansion of domestic and international flight networks.

Notably, not only recruiting domestically, Vietnamese airlines also go abroad to recruit personnel.

Recruiting flight attendants in Japan

Recently, Vietjet organized the "Flight Attendant Recruitment Day" in Osaka, Japan, Vietjet's first event in the international market, attracting more than 100 applications from candidates from Japan, Korea, the Philippines and many other countries.

According to Vietjet, this is the opening step for an international recruitment campaign, in which Japan was chosen as the starting point.

In the coming time, the airline will continue to organize recruitment days in many other countries, aiming for a team of multinational, professional and globally integrated flight attendants.

A flight attendant told Tuoi Tre Online that the expansion of international recruitment shows the direction of promoting the exploitation of Japanese routes. In the near future, passengers will probably meet local flight attendants on flights to and from Japan.

At the same time, Vietjet is also recruiting heavily in Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang and Hanoi from now until the end of 2025 to meet the plan to increase flights and expand the fleet during the peak Tet season.

Bamboo Airways moves "headquarters" from Ho Chi Minh City back to Hanoi, recruiting 500 flight attendants

After FLC Group took over operations, in October 2025 Bamboo Airways made significant changes. The airline moved its "headquarters" from Ho Chi Minh City back to Hanoi, and at the same time announced the recruitment of up to 500 flight attendants, surprising many people.

Bamboo's criteria are that candidates must be under 25 years old, 1m60 - 1m82 tall, have graduated from high school or higher, have a TOEIC score of 500 or equivalent; priority is given to candidates who know additional foreign languages such as Korean or Japanese.

The airline has started to launch combo packages "fly Bamboo - stay FLC" on the route Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City - Quy Nhon with prices of 2.9 - 4 million VND/person/round trip for 3 days 2 nights, attracting interested customers to book.

According to a representative of Bamboo Airways, this is an important step in the development strategy for the 2026-2030 period to increase the size of the fleet, improve service quality and passenger experience.

Bamboo is currently operating about 8 aircraft and is negotiating to lease 2-3 more to serve the 2026 Lunar New Year season. The airline has also opened ticket sales for Tet, expected to increase capacity by 16%, and is expected to reopen routes that many passengers are interested in such as Ho Chi Minh City - Vinh, Ho Chi Minh City - Thanh Hoa...

Vietravel Airlines, Sun PhuQuoc Airways 'heat up' the sky

Aviation businesses believe that the aviation market share is expected to change a lot when Vietravel Airlines and Sun PhuQuoc Airways accelerate their exploitation plans in the coming time.

In October, Vietravel Airlines successfully operated the first charter flight connecting Hanoi and Huangshan (China), opening up a new direction for exploiting the international passenger market. The airline said it will continue to operate international flights in the form of charters, moving towards regular commercial flights.

At the same time, "newcomer" Sun PhuQuoc Airways - part of the Sun Group ecosystem will officially open ticket sales on October 15 for the first commercial operation phase from November 1, 2025 to March 28, 2026.

The airline launched the promotion program "Take off with joy" with gifts of Sun World amusement tickets and WOW Pass worth up to 1 million VND, along with a 10% discount every Sunday.

Sun PhuQuoc Airways currently has 3 aircraft, focusing on exploiting the domestic flight network connecting major tourism - economic centers, aiming for a closed aviation - tourism model, synchronized with the Sun Group service chain.

According to aviation experts, the simultaneous recruitment and fleet expansion of airlines shows that the vibrant picture of the Vietnamese aviation market is making a strong comeback.

The presence of new names such as Sun PhuQuoc Airways, the return of Bamboo Airways and Vietjet's international campaign is expected to make the 2026 Tet season more bustling, with more diverse choices and incentives for Vietnamese passengers.
