Hanoi People's Council holds special session to prepare for two-level local government model

On the morning of June 27, the Hanoi People's Council, term XVI, 2021 - 2026, opened its 24th session (special session) to consider and resolve a number of important contents.

Opening the session, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee and Chairman of the Hanoi People's Council Nguyen Ngoc Tuan stated that this is a very special session, a very meaningful moment, when Hanoi and the whole country will switch to a two-level local government model from July 1.

"At the meeting, many important contents were approved to serve the two-level local government model," the Chairman of the Hanoi People's Council emphasized, and said that this thematic meeting has 11 contents, focusing on two important groups of issues. First, the Hanoi People's Council will consider and decide on contents to promptly operate the two-level local government model from July 1.

Chairman of Hanoi People's Council Nguyen Ngoc Tuan delivered the opening speech at the meeting.

Second, the Hanoi People's Council considered adjusting and supplementing the list of land acquisition projects; approved the investment policy of two very important projects in the field of transportation and environment, namely: Land acquisition, compensation, resettlement support, site clearance project of the route connecting Gia Binh airport to Hanoi capital; Environmental improvement and waste incineration project for power generation under the public-private partnership (PPP) method in Soc Son district; reviewed the 2024 budget settlement; continued support for fees for providing criminal records information via the electronic identification and authentication application (VneID)... These are important thematic contents to promptly deploy solutions, ensuring growth and socio -economic development of the capital.

Hanoi People's Council held the 24th session to consider and decide on many important contents.

“The 24th session of the Hanoi People’s Council has many important contents, which have a profound impact on the city’s development. I respectfully request that the People’s Council delegates uphold their sense of responsibility, concentrate their intelligence, carefully study the contents, participate in discussions, contribute many passionate, profound, frank, and quality opinions and make resolutions on the contents according to the meeting agenda,” Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Tuan emphasized.
