Most mushrooms thrive in damp, low-sunlight environments, but Wulingshen is different. It grows and thrives on warm hillsides or in abandoned termite nests.

The real value of this mushroom is not in the upper part of the mushroom, but in the tuber underneath. Wulingshen after maturity will form an oval or spherical tuber underneath. This tuber is usually dark green in color, the surface of the shell is veined and shiny, and feels soft when pressed.

Why don't people who dig up these mushrooms want to sell them?

1. Wulingshen grows in a special environment so it is extremely rare.

The growing temperature of mushrooms must meet from 22 - 28 degrees. The growing altitude is about 600m - 1000m above sea level.

At the same time, the concentration of carbon dioxide in the environment must be high for the mushroom to germinate. This shows that cultivating Wulingshen is very difficult. So it becomes very rare.

2. Is a precious herb with very high nutritional value

Wulingshen is one of the rare herbs in China, its medicinal value is very high. Wulingshen is rich in nutrients and minerals such as calcium, iron, has the effect of nourishing the heart, replenishing qi, anti-aging, useful for people with trauma. Therefore, many people who dig up Wulingshen will keep it for emergency use.
