Coach Mai Duc Chung pointed out the most successful thing

In preparation for 2025 with important tournaments, the Vietnamese women's team had a training trip to the Czech Republic. Coach Mai Duc Chung and his team had three friendly matches with strong teams and achieved positive results.

The Vietnamese women's team lost 0-2 to RB Leipzig (Germany), won 6-0 to FK Pardubice (Czech Republic) and won 3-0 to FC Viktoria Plzen (Czech Republic).

After three friendly matches with European teams, coach Mai Duc Chung assessed that the first loss had many reasons. Firstly, RB Leipzig was a very strong opponent, and the Vietnamese women's team had not yet adapted to the competition conditions, so their coordination was not good.

In the next two matches, the coaching staff of the Vietnamese women's team will make adjustments in many positions to create opportunities for the players to show their abilities.

Coach Mai Duc Chung also pointed out the biggest success of the training trip: “I was most satisfied with yesterday’s match. Not about the score but about the team’s playing style. You guys knew how to use your own strengths, your team’s strengths, and the Vietnamese people’s strengths to play against opponents with bigger bodies, such as passing the ball low, coordinating quickly, etc. That’s what I liked most. Besides, you guys were bold in shooting. There were some great long-range shots scored through coordination.”

In addition, coach Mai Duc Chung assessed that the team's physical strength has also improved a lot, gradually understanding each other better. The young players are assessed to be sociable and able to keep up with the whole team.

Despite much progress, the Vietnamese women's team is still assessed to have some points that need to be overcome such as ball handling, passing, observation ability, etc.
