According to The Sun , Mr. Southgate will become the host of a new BBC program called "One Of A Kind." This is his first role since leaving the England team.
The 54-year-old will interview leaders from across a range of industries on the show. A source said: "The BBC is delighted to have Southgate as its first presenter. It's a real coup."
The source added: "He will be interviewing successful people from a range of backgrounds, moving from sports to inspirational stories. Southgate is a deep person and the producers think he will be great at having in-depth conversations with his interviewees."
The show is expected to be a podcast-style show. It is understood Mr Southgate will receive around £50,000 for hosting the show.
Strategist Gareth Southgate was appointed as England's head coach in 2016. In 102 matches under the leadership of the "Three Lions", he won 61, drew 24 and lost 17.
The 54-year-old coach has led England to the finals of two consecutive Euros in 2020 and 2024, but lost to Italy and Spain on both occasions. In addition, England also reached the semi-finals of the 2018 World Cup and the quarter-finals of the 2022 World Cup.
He left his position as England manager two days after losing to Spain in the Euro 2024 final and was replaced by coach Thomas Tuchel.
In a recent interview, Southgate revealed that he has no plans to return to football in the near future. He shared: "Not at the moment, I'm enjoying my life. I have some business interests, I'm in the process of writing a book. I still do some work with young coaches."
