The above information was shared by Prof. Dr. Nguyen Duy Anh at the ceremony to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the National Center for Reproductive Support and receive the international RTAC Certificate, which took place on the afternoon of October 14 in Hanoi .

"After 25 years of establishment, the National Reproductive Support Center is proud to be awarded the RTAC certificate. This certificate is not a medal but a magic wand, a pillar for all those who work in reproductive support to follow," said Professor Anh.

The Director of the Central Maternity Hospital expressed gratitude to the generations who laid the foundation and led the Center through its 25-year journey of growth.

Since the first egg retrieval in 2000, the National Center for Reproductive Support has continuously innovated, always pioneering in approaching, updating and mastering modern reproductive support techniques, from basic to advanced.

In vitro fertilization (IVF); intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI); sperm, egg, and embryo storage techniques are performed at the hospital with a high success rate.

Preimplantation genetic diagnosis (PGT) increases IVF success rates to 50-60%.

"The success rate of assisted reproductive technology at the Central Obstetrics Hospital is about 60%, equivalent to the regional and international standards. This is a very encouraging result even though Vietnam's assisted reproductive technology is many years behind the world ," Professor Anh informed.

In a series of events celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Reproductive Support Center, the Central Obstetrics Hospital organized a scientific seminar on "Improving quality management in reproductive support", taking place in the afternoon of the same day, with the participation of many leading experts in the field of reproductive support.

Experts discuss global trends in IVF quality management, digital transformation applications in management and treatment...

During the ceremony, the National Fertility Support Center officially received the RTAC (Reproductive Technology Accreditation Committee) Certification, granted by the Australian and New Zealand Fertility Association (ANZARD).

Achieving RTAC certification not only marks an important milestone in the development journey, but also opens up opportunities for cooperation, research and deep integration with the global IVF community - where Vietnam is increasingly affirming its stature and mettle.

Professor Anh expressed his ambition that the National Center for Reproductive Support will develop more and more sustainably, with a strategy of improving professional quality; comprehensive digital transformation; personalized medicine, and will become the leading Center for Reproductive Support in the Asia-Pacific region.

In Vietnam, there are currently more than 70 reproductive support centers, of which 8-9 centers are recognized to meet international standards. Among these centers, there are 2 public hospitals that meet regional and international standards, including the Central Obstetrics Hospital.

According to the Director of the Central Maternity Hospital, Vietnam has adequate infrastructure, modern equipment and a team of good experts in the field of reproductive support.

The Central Obstetrics Hospital plays the role of a leading obstetrics and gynecology hospital, responsible for supporting and improving the quality of other centers across the country. In particular, training, improving expertise and maintaining the quality of the team of experts are among the key factors to achieve good results.

According to Professor Anh, applying strict quality management processes is the key factor to achieving good results in assisted reproduction.

He also expressed his hope that Vietnam's reproductive support sector - although 15-20 years behind the world - will continue to develop in quality, contributing to improving people's health.
