Hoa Lac deploys response to storm No. 3 and disaster prevention, control, and rescue

At the conference, delegates reported on the current situation and proposed solutions to cope with the storm. Many opinions suggested trimming trees and clearing drainage at areas prone to flooding, especially the roundabout area of Village 1. Some areas at risk of roofs being blown off and flooded have proactively prepared plans to evacuate people and livestock, and have fully prepared equipment. The commune has contracted to rent machinery such as cranes, excavators, and saws to handle emergency situations. Schools during the summer vacation have also ensured the safety of their facilities, assigned staff to be on duty, and closely monitored the situation.

"Responding to storm No. 3 must be urgent, not subjective, not delayed. Units and forces need to immediately deploy assigned tasks, fully prepare means and materials, be ready to respond to all situations, and minimize damage, especially human loss," emphasized Chairman of Hoa Lac Commune People's Committee Dao Xuan Ban.

Hoa Lac commune has the advantage of having many military units stationed in the area, local forces have proactively cooperated and closely coordinated. Natural disaster prevention and control work is strictly implemented according to the "4 on-site" motto: Command, forces, means and on-site logistics.

Storm No. 3 is considered a strong storm with complicated developments. The Chairman of the Commune People's Committee requested the entire political system and people to raise vigilance, clearly identify the main motto of prevention, timely response; and quick and effective recovery after natural disasters.

The forces have been clearly assigned, organized to be on duty 24/7 and have a firm grasp of the area. A command group via Zalo and specialized subcommittees have also been established to promptly coordinate human resources, vehicles and handle on-site situations.

The Commune Culture - Information and Sports Center has increased propaganda and quickly updated directives from the central government, the city and the commune to the people. The units focus on social security work, pay attention to vulnerable groups, and at the same time prepare adequate medicine and medical supplies to prevent epidemics.

On July 21, the commune trimmed trees, resolutely relocated households in areas at risk of being unsafe; increased inspection of construction works, billboards, and panels to ensure safety during storms.
