The information was shared by Mr. Pham Duc Vinh - Principal of Phuc Khanh Primary and Secondary School No. 1.

Talking about the reason for donating money to help teachers and students in Nghe An in the flood-hit area, Mr. Vinh said: “My teachers and students experienced such moments a year ago, when storm No. 3 passed through here and took many lives in Nu village, including many students of the school. Therefore, we understand the urgency of the community joining hands to help.

Our teachers and students have overcome loss and grief thanks to the community's solidarity. Now is the time for us to repay millions of hearts, demonstrating the spirit of mutual love and mutual assistance of the Vietnamese people."

According to Mr. Vinh, as soon as he read the news about the consequences of typhoon Wipha on many schools in Nghe An, he and the board of directors of Phuc Khanh school decided to call for support from all staff, teachers, parents and students of the school.

After more than 1 week of launching, the school has received a total amount of 22.18 million VND. Of this amount, more than 13 million VND came from students and parents and more than 9 million VND came from the 20 staff and teachers of the school.

The biggest difficulty for Mr. Vinh was to contact My Ly 2 Primary Boarding School (My Ly Commune) and Muong Tip 2 Primary Boarding School (Muong Tip Commune). These were the two schools that suffered the most damage. The complicated flood situation made communication difficult.

It took another 2 weeks for Mr. Vinh to be able to give the money to Nghe An teachers and students as he wished.

In the letter of thanks to teachers and students of Nu village, teachers and students of Muong Tip 2 school sent: "The kindness of the staff, teachers, employees and parents of Phuc Khanh Primary and Secondary School No. 1 has helped us teachers and students feel warm and have more strength to overcome the challenges and difficulties ahead."

Storm No. 3 with strong intensity and heavy rain and floods caused serious consequences to the communes in Western Nghe An last August.

Right before the new school year, many schools in My Ly and Muong Tip were flooded, including My Ly 2 Primary Boarding School, which was flooded up to 3 meters deep. Student desks, chairs, and teaching equipment were all damaged, muddy, and peeling.

The support of teachers and students of Nu village partly helps My Ly school overcome difficulties to enter the new school year.
