Concert “Vivaldi & Beethoven” – the “Essential Sounds” of Classical Music

The Hanoi Philharmonic Orchestra will bring to the capital's audience a special concert night "Vivaldi & Beethoven" at 8:00 p.m. on September 20 at the Hoan Kiem Theater (40 Hang Bai, Cua Nam Ward, Hanoi).

This program is part of the series of high-end art events "Essence of Sound" of the Hanoi Symphony Orchestra, aiming to contribute to enhancing cultural life and bringing top-notch artistic experiences to the public.

The concert was led by conductor Honna Tetsuji, with the participation of People's Artist Bui Cong Duy (violin), artist Chuong Vu (violin), Do Phuong Nhi (violin). Especially, there was the appearance of talents such as Denis Shapovalow - cellist who won the Gold Medal at the 11th Tchaikovsky Music Competition in Moscow (Russia) and pianist Luong Khanh Nhi - who just won the Third Prize at the Leeds Piano Competition 2024.

The program will take the audience on a musical journey through time, through 2 parts. Part I introduces four immortal concertos from the collection “Four Seasons” by Antonio Vivaldi, with solo violin performances by artists Chuong Vu and Do Phuong Nhi.

In Part II, the audience will come to the Concerto for Three Strings in C major, Op.56 by Ludwig van Beethoven, performed by People's Artist Bui Cong Duy (violin), cellist Denis Shapovalov and young piano talent Luong Khanh Nhi.

The program is part of a series of concerts celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Vietnam Connection Music Festival. This is one of the important milestones, affirming the position of the Hanoi Symphony Orchestra in the international classical music flow, and at the same time showing the persistent efforts in bringing classical music closer to the Vietnamese public.
