Specifically, according to the announcement of the Ministry of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs , cadres, civil servants, public employees and employees of administrative agencies, public service agencies, political organizations, socio-political organizations will have a holiday for National Day 2024 from Saturday (August 31) to Tuesday (September 3).

Agencies and units that do not have a fixed Saturday and Sunday holiday schedule every week will arrange a suitable holiday schedule based on the specific program and plan of the unit.
For employees, the employer decides to choose the National Day holiday option as Monday (September 2) and choose 1 of 2 days: Sunday (September 1) or Tuesday (September 3).
Thus, for employees with 1 day off/week falling on Sunday, the National Day holiday on September 2nd will last 3 days from September 1st to September 3rd if they choose to take the holiday on Sunday (September 1st) or last 2 days from September 2nd to September 3rd if they choose to take the holiday on Tuesday, September 3rd.
For employees with 2 days off/week falling on Saturday and Sunday, the National Day holiday on September 2 will last 4 days from August 31 to September 3.
Civil servants, public employees and workers will have a maximum of 4 consecutive days off for National Day September 2.
Thus, according to regulations, the National Day holiday on September 2 this year for students lasts 4 days for preschool and primary school levels and 3 days for secondary school and above.

Regarding overtime on holidays, according to the provisions of the 2019 Labor Code, employees who work overtime on holidays, Tet, and paid leave days will receive at least 300%, not including holiday wages, Tet, and paid leave days for employees receiving daily wages.
According to Article 104 of the 2019 Labor Code, a bonus is an amount of money or property or in other forms that an employer rewards an employee based on production and business results and the employee's level of work completion.
The bonus regulations are decided by the employer and publicly announced at the workplace after consulting with the employee representative organization at the workplace where there is an employee representative organization at the workplace.
Under this provision, bonuses are not mandatory payments that employers must make to employees.
Thus, whether or not an employee receives a bonus on the occasion of National Day September 2nd must be based on the bonus regulations of the school and the employer, decided and publicly announced at the workplace after consulting with the employee representative organization at the workplace if there is an employee representative organization at the workplace.
If there is no regulation in the National Day bonus regulations on September 2, employees will not be rewarded on this day. On the contrary, if there is a regulation, the school or business will reward employees in cash or in other forms.
