Hai Duong Association in Hai Phong has over 700 members.

Chairman of the Hai Duong Provincial Fatherland Front Committee Nguyen Duc Tuan presented flowers to congratulate the Hai Duong Fellow Countrymen Association in Hai Phong.

The meeting was held on the morning of February 8.

Attending the event were comrades: Nguyen Duc Tuan, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee; Nguyen Minh Hung, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao, Vice Chairman of the Hai Phong City Fatherland Front Committee.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Minh Hung emphasized that each Hai Duong child in Hai Phong is an ambassador contributing to connecting the two homelands.

At the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Minh Hung briefly informed about some achievements in socio -economic development of the province in 2024.

In 2024, despite facing many challenges and fluctuations, especially being heavily affected by storm No. 3, the government, people and businesses in Hai Duong province joined hands and made efforts in socio-economic development.

Hai Duong's economic scale reached 212,386 billion VND, ranking 11th in the country, an increase of more than 1.13 times compared to 2023. Economic growth of 10.2%, ranking 6th in the country, up 7 places compared to 2023. This is the highest growth rate in the past 10 years.

State budget revenue reached 30,774 billion VND, a record high, for the first time entering the list of provinces and cities with budget revenue exceeding 30,000 billion VND.

Urban planning, investment, construction, and development management continue to be focused on. Infrastructure is increasingly synchronized, including connecting traffic infrastructure. Last year, Hai Duong effectively implemented social security policies...

Many members of the Hai Duong Fellow Countrymen Association in Hai Phong attended the meeting.

The year 2025 is of special importance, being the final year of implementing the Resolution of the 17th Provincial Party Congress, and at the same time the starting year for a new development period of 2025-2030. Hai Duong identified this as a year of strong breakthrough, with high will, determination and aspirations for development.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Minh Hung hopes to continue receiving encouragement, support and help from Hai Phong City leaders and Hai Duong people living and working in Hai Phong and across the country.

Previously, the delegation of Hai Duong province and leaders of the Hai Duong Association in Hai Phong offered incense at the monument of comrade To Hieu.

On this occasion, the Hai Duong Association in Hai Phong organized a longevity celebration for 11 members aged 90 and over.
