Dr. Nguyen Ba Thang - Head of the Department of Neurology, University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital, Ho Chi Minh City, emphasized: "The ANSCI Conference is an opportunity to report on the scientific achievements and clinical applications not only of the Center for Neuroscience but also of the entire neurology industry in general. The role of these advances has been clearly demonstrated in practice, from research to patient care. In particular, this year, the conference focuses on two areas of great interest: stroke and dizziness, with discussions, case illustrations and technical practice workshops...".
The conference program included many in-depth reporting sessions, comprehensively reflecting the advances in modern neurology. Outstanding topics discussed included the latest ILAE 2025 seizure classification update, anticoagulant strategies in stroke prevention, post-stroke rehabilitation therapy, as well as advances in neuromuscular and neuroimmune diseases. The reporters also introduced research and practical applications in building an ecosystem for caring for patients with dementia, contributing to creating a multi-dimensional overview of the challenges and solutions in the treatment of current neurological diseases.
A very new technique being deployed at the hospital was also introduced at the conference, which is the technique of measuring the electroencephalogram with intracranial electrodes, helping to locate the epileptic focus as a basis for specialized surgeries to treat epilepsy. In addition to scientific reports, many real clinical cases were also presented and discussed, showing the high applicability of advances in treatment and illustrating the hospital's strength in multidisciplinary and multimodal coordination in comprehensive treatment of neurological diseases.
