Quang Ninh Provincial Journalists Association continues to organize a program to support people in flood-affected areas.

In Dai Duc, Ha Lau and Phong Du communes of Tien Yen district, the delegation presented 31 gifts including: rice, warm blankets, instant noodles, laundry detergent, soap, MSG, seasoning powder, mosquito nets to 31 households; 2.5 million VND to 5 households in difficult circumstances; 54 pairs of books, notebooks, pens, school supplies for students; new sandals for students and many candies, milk; 300 new sets of clothes for children and adults; 20 million VND to one household to repair the house. The total cost of the gifts was about 90 million VND.

Giving gifts to people and organizations affected by storm No. 3.

At Ngoc Vung island commune, Van Don district, the delegation presented 30 gifts including rice, cooking oil, MSG, seasoning powder, and cash to 30 households; 60 school bags and school supplies, milk, and candy to primary and secondary school students; milk, candy, and school supplies to 54 preschool students; and VND20 million to a military unit on the island to buy a generator. The total value of gifts at Ngoc Vung island commune is about VND70 million.

Leaders of the Quang Ninh Provincial Journalists Association and representatives of the Quang Ninh Dear Charity Group, organizations and individuals visited and gave gifts to people and organizations affected by storm No. 3.

After storm No. 3, the lives of people in the above mentioned areas are facing many difficulties. The practical gifts are a source of encouragement for officers, soldiers and people in mountainous and island areas to ease their difficulties, stabilize their lives and restore production.
