Continuing to promote the value of the national conference " Quang Tri - the land of Lord Nguyen Hoang's career" in 2013, the scientific conference "The system of Lord Nguyen's relics in Trieu Phong district - Historical and cultural values and orientations for conservation, restoration and promotion of heritage values" had 43 research papers, discussions, direct exchanges, contributing to the orientation of conservation, restoration and promotion of heritage values as well as participating in the planning project of Lord Nguyen's palace relics by scientists, researchers and dedicated delegates, helping Trieu Phong district have a solid foundation for orientation in planning and investing in works commemorating, honoring and expressing gratitude to the Nguyen Lords in Trieu Phong land.
The papers affirmed the important historical, cultural and scientific values as well as the stature, role and position of the locations related to the Nguyen Lords' palace on Trieu Phong land in the Nguyen Lords' career of expanding the South to form the territory and territorial waters (including the Hoang Sa and Truong Sa archipelagos) of Vietnam as it is today.
Most opinions agree that the sites within the protected area of the relics currently have no structures, traces, or traces on the ground, and are mainly cultivated land, residential land, and local cemeteries. The elements that carry the original attributes of the relics are mostly historical souvenir sites or place names in the subconscious of the people or exist as hidden archaeological data underground.
To orientate the conservation, restoration and promotion of the heritage value of the Nguyen Lord's palace sites in Trieu Phong land, the opinions proposed tasks and solutions to preserve and restore the relics in accordance with the scale of the protected area, both ensuring the original elements of the relics and combining the construction of new memorial and gratitude works, serving to promote the value of the heritage in the future, such as: erecting a statue of Nguyen Hoang in Trieu Phong district located on the North-South highway; re-erecting the image of people offering 7 jars of water to Lord Nguyen Hoang; building a temple to worship Nguyen Hoang, creating a space for the relics with Thach Han River as the main axis connecting the honoring space, the memorial space in the core and buffer zones of the relics, reviving the relics as they are in order to create a chain of added value in the socio-economic development of the locality through tourism activities...
In the immediate future, when there are not enough resources to revive the relic, it is necessary to build a place to display and preserve the traces of the land where Lord Nguyen Hoang established his career on the way to open up the South, using 3D virtual interactive technology to restore the relic; then, when conditions permit, conduct archaeology, preserve and restore the relic.
Learn from the people's way of socializing the works of gratitude and commemoration of Lord Nguyen Hoang in the past time, in which public investment leads the socialized investment. No matter how difficult it is, we must make efforts to plan and soon invest in the construction of works to honor, show gratitude and commemorate the achievements of Lord Nguyen Hoang in expanding the territory where he founded his career on Trieu Phong land.
Speaking at the workshop, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Nam highly appreciated Trieu Phong district for its recent attention and proactive invitation to scientists and researchers to the district to participate in surveying and conducting archaeological excavations at a number of sites related to the Nguyen lords' headquarters; and carrying out planning tasks.
In particular, in coordination with the Department of Science and Technology, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism organized this scientific seminar to seek the participation of scientists and researchers in consulting and contributing opinions to serve the work of establishing a planning project for the preservation, restoration, rehabilitation and promotion of the value of the national historical relic "Places related to the Nguyen Lord's Palace" in Trieu Phong district to submit to the competent authority for approval and announcement on the occasion of the 465th anniversary of Doan Quan Cong Nguyen Hoang establishing his career on Trieu Phong land.
Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Nam also highly appreciated the planning consultancy unit for having multi-dimensional perspectives on the current status of the relic, referring to the experience of domestic relics to propose the work of preserving and restoring the relics based on the orientation of zoning to protect the core zone, promoting the buffer zone, connecting with the peripheral areas, spreading, shaping the festival spaces, honoring, and expressing gratitude; memorial spaces and surrounding areas, with specific works corresponding to each relic site in the Nguyen Lord relic complex in Trieu Phong district.
At the same time, it is recommended that the People's Committee of Trieu Phong district receive and synthesize the opinions participating in the workshop, consider adding them to the Planning Project, ensuring quality, high practicality, and suitability to the local situation to soon submit to competent authorities for approval.
After this scientific seminar and after the Planning Project is approved by the competent authority, it is recommended that the People's Committee of Trieu Phong district preside over and coordinate with relevant departments and branches to promptly announce the planning of Nguyen Hoang relic site and promote communication and promotion among the people and society about the historical values and contributions of Lord Nguyen Hoang in the historical process of the nation, especially the contributions to opening up the land.
Continue to coordinate with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to conduct comprehensive, large-scale archaeological excavations at Lord Nguyen's palace and related areas to consolidate scientific and historical arguments about the location of the three capitals of Ai Tu, Tra Bat, Dinh Cat, as well as to discover new issues related to Lord Nguyen's palace. At the same time, there is a plan to collect documents, materials, and artifacts to serve the research, display, and introduction of Lord Tien Nguyen Hoang.
Develop an investment roadmap for the preservation, restoration and rehabilitation of the Nguyen Lords' relics, including the immediate implementation of zoning for protection, setting up boundary markers, and issuing certificates of land use rights for relics. Prioritize the mobilization of social resources and budget sources to invest in a number of projects such as the Nguyen Hoang Temple to honor, show gratitude, and commemorate, towards the 500th anniversary of the birth of Lord Nguyen Hoang (1525-2025).
In the long term, coordinate with relevant departments and branches to propose to include in the province's medium-term public investment source for the period 2026-2030 to continue investing in other items according to the approved planning project. Link the conservation and restoration of relics with the construction of typical and quality tourism products of the district to promote the value of heritage in socio-economic development, create sustainable livelihoods, and improve the material and spiritual life of the people.
In particular, continue to seek advice and comments from scientists and researchers on issues related to scientific research, archaeological excavation, as well as the conservation, restoration and promotion of the value of Lord Nguyen's relics in Trieu Phong district, worthy of the merit of opening up the South and the stature of Lord Nguyen Hoang in the history of the nation.
