Today (July 7), the Department of Education and Training (DET) of Ho Chi Minh City announced the benchmark scores for entering grade 10 of more than 100 public schools in the city.

According to Mr. Nguyen Van Hieu, Director of the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City, the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City announced the benchmark scores for public grade 10 three days earlier than planned (July 10). Currently, the Department is reviewing the final steps and agreeing with schools to announce the benchmark scores.
This year, the 10th grade exam scores in Ho Chi Minh City were better than last year. Out of 95,952 candidates, 84,590 students scored 5 or higher in Literature, only 11,362 students scored below 5. In Foreign Language, 64,953 students scored 5 or higher, 30,999 students scored below 5.
In this year’s 10th grade entrance exam, Ho Chi Minh City has more than 90,000 candidates taking the entrance exam to 114 high schools, with a total target of 77,000 students. Previously, at the end of June, the City Department of Education and Training announced the benchmark scores for admission to specialized and integrated schools.
