This morning, candidates will take the Natural Science exam (including: Chemistry, Physics, Biology) or the Social Science exam (History, Geography, Civic Education ). In the afternoon, candidates will take the Foreign Language exam.

The time to distribute the Natural Science and Social Science exam papers starts at 7:30, the official time to do the exam is from 7:35.

According to statistics from the Ministry of Education and Training , more than 670,000 out of about one million candidates this year chose the Social Science exam (History, Geography, Civic Education), accounting for 63%. This rate is the highest in the past 7 years. The rest chose the Natural Science exam, including Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.

At the end of the first day of the exam, many teachers commented that the Literature exam was familiar, evoked emotions, and the 5-point question on the poem "Country" by poet Nguyen Khoa Diem had been thoroughly reviewed, so candidates could easily get 7 or 8 points. The exam was said to have many contents that matched speculations on social networks, but the Ministry of Education and Training denied it, affirming that the exam was kept absolutely confidential.

Meanwhile, Math is more challenging with about 5 "strange questions" and difficult to classify candidates. Teachers predict the average score will be around 6.5-7.6, not many perfect scores.

About 4,000 candidates skipped the first day of the exam. Ten students violated the regulations, nine of whom were suspended from the exam for bringing documents or phones into the exam room, and one was reprimanded.

The high school graduation exam scores will be announced at 8am on July 17. Graduation recognition will be considered two days later at the latest. Candidates can start registering and adjusting their university admission wishes from July 18 to 30.
