More than 1,300 delegations with nearly 38,000 people came to Quang Tri to pay tribute to heroic martyrs on July 27.

On the occasion of the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2025), Quang Tri province welcomed 1,347 delegations with 37,573 people from all over the country to offer incense, commemorate and pay tribute to the heroic martyrs. The reception and service of the delegations and relatives of the martyrs were thoughtful and solemn.

According to statistics from the Center for Nursing People with Meritorious Services and Management of Martyrs' Cemetery (NTLS), in July 2025, major cemeteries in the province welcomed a large number of visitors.

Accordingly, National Route 9 Memorial received 533 delegations with 14,912 people, including 18 delegations holding night-time visits; Truong Son National Memorial received 722 delegations with 20,177 people, including 6 delegations visiting at night; Ba Doc Memorial received 92 delegations with 2,484 people, including 8 delegations visiting at night.

Along with welcoming delegations, serving martyrs' relatives is always a top priority. 478 families of martyrs' relatives with 1,983 people came to Quang Tri to visit, search for and relocate martyrs' graves and were warmly and thoughtfully welcomed at the Martyrs' Relatives Reception House.

In order to maintain the green, clean and beautiful landscape of the cemeteries, the Center has organized regular cleaning and care of the martyrs' graves, memorials, name steles and roads. The work of fertilizing, pruning trees, clearing and cutting grass around the graves and other areas in the cemetery grounds is also carried out periodically. In particular, the Center has also cleaned and restored 15,432 martyrs' graves and repainted 3,331 steles with faded information at the two Truong Son National Cemetery and Road 9.

Mr. Nguyen Vu Quang, Director of the Center for Nursing People with Meritorious Services and Management of NTLS of the province, said that the activities to celebrate the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day in Quang Tri took place seriously, according to plan, ensuring solemnity and thoughtfulness. The coordination, guidance, sanitation and security work were implemented synchronously, creating a respectful atmosphere, leaving a deep impression in the hearts of cadres, soldiers, martyrs' relatives and people nationwide.
