More than 2,000 athletes are ready to compete at the Aqua Warriors Van Don - Camel Cup

(Dan Tri) - On the morning of September 27 at Bai Dai in Van Don special economic zone, more than 2,000 athletes excitedly completed the procedures to receive bib numbers and race kits to prepare for the Aqua Warriors Van Don 2025 - Camel Cup.

This morning, the Sonasea Van Don Harbor City resort complex (Van Don special zone, Quang Ninh) became bustling and fiery, full of sports spirit when more than 2,000 athletes received their bib numbers and race kits to participate in the Aqua Warriors Van Don 2025 - Camel Cup tournament. The tournament was jointly organized by Dan Tri Newspaper and Bolt Event.

The athletes were excited to register and receive their race kits in an exciting atmosphere. This was not just a preparation step before the competition, but also the starting moment for the journey to conquer the challenge, where the sports spirit spread and connected swimming and running enthusiasts from many places to converge in Van Don special economic zone.

This afternoon, athletes entered the first day of competition with 3 exciting events: Open Water Mixed Team Relay, Junior Aqua Warriors and Kids Aqua Warriors.

The Organizing Committee supports and guides athletes throughout the registration process.

From the instructions, information checking to receiving competition items, every step is arranged scientifically , quickly and friendly, creating a comfortable and secure feeling for athletes before the competition.

“I am very excited to participate in the combined events and open water swimming for the second time,” said Indian athlete Nashom. “I am really happy to compete with my teammates, we always encourage each other to do our best. My goal in this tournament is simply to try my best, not give up and always move forward.”

Being taken by their father to a large-scale tournament for the first time, twin brothers Trinh Phuoc Anh and Trinh Duc Anh (10 years old) were full of confidence and excitement.

Mr. Trinh Nam Binh, father of two young athletes, shared: “Since last summer, I started to introduce my children to swimming and jogging. They both really like it and have participated in some small local competitions. This time, when participating in the 300m swim and 2km run, I hope my children will have the opportunity to interact, make friends, broaden their knowledge and accumulate memorable experiences.”

The event attracted a large number of people of all ages, international athletes, from professionals to amateurs. Many families participated, making the tournament a playground for bonding and spreading passion for sports.

Up to this tournament, Ms. Duong Thu Ha and her husband have attended all 4 events jointly organized by Dan Tri Newspaper and Bolt Event. For Ms. Ha, this is not only a prestigious, large-scale tournament, but also a place to unite the family in the same passion. In particular, this year, Nguyen Tu Anh (9 years old) - Ms. Ha's daughter - participated in the Junior Aqua Warriors event for the first time. Seeing her parents compete many times, Tu Anh eagerly asked to try her hand.

"I hope my child will be more confident, braver and more mature after this tournament," Ms. Ha shared.

Standing out in pink, athlete Pham Quynh ( Hanoi ) shared: “For the past week, I have been quite worried while following information about the storm that could affect the competition area at Bai Dai, Van Don. Because I am new to swimming and participating in the tournament for the first time, I was afraid that bad weather would affect the competition. Fortunately, my teammates have been present since yesterday and have been constantly updating the weather situation. I am really happy that the weather is nice and favorable at the moment. Hopefully this season will go smoothly and bring us many memorable memories.”

The second competition day (September 28) will feature 4 events, including: Ultra Aqua Warriors (5km swim, 21km run), Full Aqua Warriors (3km swim, 15km run), Olympic Aqua Warriors (1.5km swim, 10km run) and Sprint Aqua Warriors (750m swim, 5km run).

These are all attractive contents and promise dramatic competition between thousands of athletes.
