Honda Vietnam announces Battery Sales Policy for ICON e Electric Motorcycle:

In addition, from September 15, 2025 , HVN will implement a policy of reselling rented batteries for customers who own ICON e: vehicles and are using the battery rental service.

These diverse options are intended to give users maximum flexibility in being able to buy or rent batteries according to their needs, thereby fully meeting customer needs.

I/ Policy on selling batteries purchased with the vehicle and individual batteries

1. Applicable subjects: Customers buying ICON e electric vehicles: Honda brand manufactured and distributed by HVN in Vietnam.

2. Applicable time : from August 15, 2025 .

3. Suggested retail price: VND 9,621,818 / battery (VAT 8%) or VND 9,800,000 / battery (VAT 10%)

4. Battery warranty policy:

2 years from date of purchase for batteries supplied with the vehicle.
1 year from the date of purchase for individual batteries when replacing, repairing, or purchasing additional batteries.

II/ Policy on reselling rented batteries

1. Applicable subjects:

Customer: Is a customer who has signed a Battery Rental Service Contract on the My Honda+ application and this contract is still in effect at the time the Customer purchases the battery.
Resold HVN Batteries: Are batteries that are being rented by customers under a Rental Contract to use for electric vehicles purchased at Honda Authorized Motorcycle Sales and Service Shops (HEAD).

2. Applicable time : from September 15, 2025 .

3. Form:

Customers please go to the Electric Vehicle Sales HEAD (according to HVN's announcement from time to time) to complete the procedure to purchase the rented battery.
All procedures for converting from battery rental to battery purchase, payment, and signing of battery purchase confirmation will be done on the My Honda+ application.

4. Battery rental price:

The selling price of the battery being rented is calculated based on the battery rental cost paid and the actual usage time.

5. Battery warranty policy:

HVN only applies warranty to Batteries with Battery Capacity (SOH) over 80% as assessed by HEAD.
The warranty period for the battery is 2 years minus the number of months the battery has been used (Customers please contact the Electric Vehicle Business HEAD for details).

6. Insurance policy:

Customers who purchase a rented battery will still enjoy the accompanying insurance package for a specific period of time:

Compulsory civil liability insurance of motor vehicle owners : still valid for the period stated in the Insurance Certificate.
Personal accident insurance for vehicle occupants : remains valid for 01 year from the time of activation (as notified to the Customer).
Battery damage insurance : valid until March 31st following the date the customer purchases the rented battery.

Note: These coverages do not automatically renew.
