Meeting to prepare for organizing events within the framework of the 2024 Peace Festival plan

This morning, August 6, the Provincial People's Committee held a meeting with the Organizing Committee of the 2024 Peace Festival to prepare for organizing a number of events within the framework of the plan to organize the 2024 Peace Festival. According to the report of the Organizing Committee of the 2024 Peace Festival, up to now, the main events and activities in response to the festival have been completed, such as: Cycling Festival for Peace; Opening Ceremony of the 2024 Peace Festival; Trinh Cong Son Music Night - Song of Peace; "Taste of the Sunny Flower Land" Food Festival; Memorial Service for heroic martyrs; exhibitions of paintings and photos; seminars with the theme of peace.

The events and activities within the framework of the festival that have been organized up to this point have been successful, safe, achieved their goals, worthy of their stature and created a good impression, attracting a large number of people and tourists to respond and participate.

Contributing to the success of the programs is the close coordination and responsibility of the organizing committee, the organizing committee members and the relevant agencies, units and localities. Initially, the events and activities have created a positive and widespread influence, spreading the message of peace and highlighting the beautiful image of the land and people of Quang Tri in particular and Vietnam in general on the national and international levels.

At the meeting, representatives of the festival organizing committee and members of the organizing committee exchanged, discussed and evaluated the results achieved and the limitations in the initial stages of organization to gain experience and propose solutions to organize the remaining events and activities.

According to the plan to organize the Festival for Peace in 2024, in the coming time, events will continue to take place within the framework of the festival, including: The program "Peaceful Wish" (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism presides and coordinates the organization at 8:10 p.m. on August 11, 2024); the political art program "Parallel 17 - Aspiration for Peace" (Nhan Dan Newspaper presides and coordinates the organization at 8:00 p.m. on August 16, 2024). The conference also considered the proposal to organize the light sculpture art performance program "Footprints of Soldiers - Aspiration for Peace".

Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Organizing Committee of the 2024 Peace Festival Hoang Nam agreed and acknowledged the responsible efforts and close coordination of the organizing committee, relevant agencies, units and localities that contributed to the initial success of the festival. The events organized by the 2024 Peace Festival received attention and positive feedback from leaders of domestic ministries, branches and international organizations; creating great attraction for units, businesses, people and tourists .

To successfully organize the remaining events and activities, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Nam requested the organizing committee, units and localities to continue to coordinate to implement the assigned tasks and work according to the plan in a smooth and effective manner.

In addition to focusing on completing the installation of stage items and organizing performance rehearsals, the organizing committee is requested to focus on promoting propaganda and communication about the festival; prepare plans to ensure security, order, traffic safety, health, and communication; review, adjust, and supplement some related contents and tasks appropriately...

Regarding the proposal to organize the light sculpture art performance program "Footprints of Soldiers - Desire for Peace", Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Nam requested the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to appraise the scale, detailed script content, time and venue of the event to soon advise the Provincial People's Committee for consideration.

At the same time, the organizing committee is requested to prepare the contents of the 2024 Peace Festival summary to evaluate, draw experience, and propose solutions for the organization of the next festival.
