Mr. Nguyen Van Phu, General Secretary of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), emphasized that the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) highly appreciates the cooperative relationship with Bundesliga - one of the world's leading tournaments, with an advanced and professional youth football training system.
The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the two sides and the training trip of the Vietnam national women's U17 team in Germany is clear evidence of the commitment to developing youth football, especially women's football.
“This is a valuable opportunity for players to access a top training environment, improve their capacity and aspiration to reach international level. At the same time, with the close cooperation program between the two sides, we are completely confident that the training of youth football, activities related to coach training exchange, professional activities, science and technology and sports medicine will also be promoted by both sides in the coming time”, said Mr. Nguyen Van Phu.
Bundesliga Dream Vietnam 2.0 project is the latest version of the program that creates opportunities for young people to develop their talents, contributing to bringing Vietnamese football further on the continental football map. This project is also currently being implemented in Korea, Thailand, India and China.
Mr. Peer Naubert, CEO of Bundesliga International, shared: “The Bundesliga has a growing loyal fan base in Vietnam among the top European leagues.
Vietnam is an important market for us. We are delighted that the Bundesliga Dream project is expanding into women's football and contributing to the development of this sport in Vietnam."
In February this year, VFF and DFL Deutsche Fußball Liga extended the Cooperation Agreement (MoU) signed in 2022, lasting until 2028. The agreement focuses on youth development, including the Bundesliga Dream project, along with technical, medical and sports science support for VFF staff.
Coaching and medical exchanges also play an important role in promoting women's football and building a comprehensive football system in Vietnam.
Bundesliga International has had a permanent office in Beijing since 2019, and is among the top German clubs to have representative offices in China, more than any other European league.
The development path of Vietnamese women's youth football is opening up many new and promising opportunities thanks to the deep and close cooperation between Bundesliga and VFF.
The Bundesliga Dream Vietnam 2.0 project is not only an important step to improve the professional quality and physical strength of young players, but also creates a solid foundation for the Vietnam U17 women's team to confidently conquer international tournaments, especially the 2026 Asian Cup Qualifiers.
