IHG appoints leader for resort in partnership with BIM Land

With over 20 years of extensive experience in the hospitality industry, having held various positions in China, Japan, Vietnam and Europe, Mr. Jesper is now taking on a new position as the leader of a luxury resort in one of Vietnam's most popular tourist cities.

Mr. Jesper Larsen shared his joy at launching the first IHG resort in Ha Long city, Quang Ninh and Vietnam is currently one of the most attractive destinations in Asia.

I believe that this will be the driving force to promote the development of the tourism industry in Ha Long Bay," said Mr. Jesper Larsen.

This resort marks IHG’s expansion into Quang Ninh province, through a partnership with long-time partner BIM Land – a member of BIM Group. IHG and BIM have previously collaborated on a number of tourism real estate projects, including Regent Phu Quoc, InterContinental Phu Quoc Long Beach Resort, Crowne Plaza Vientiane and the upcoming Holiday Inn Vientiane. The partnership has been growing for a decade.

Located just a two-hour drive from Hanoi, the resort features 174 luxurious rooms and suites, 60 luxury apartments ranging from one to three bedrooms and 41 luxury villas. Guests can enjoy dining at five restaurants and bars serving Asian and international cuisine, swim in four swimming pools, work out at the state-of-the-art gym, a kids club, a luxury spa and a state-of-the-art conference center that can accommodate up to 500 guests.

In Vietnam, IHG Group is implementing a plan to double the number of hotels in Vietnam within the next three years by opening more than 26 hotels, including InterContinental Halong Bay Resort and Residences.
