Techcombank Hanoi Marathon 2025: A run to connect the community and spread humanistic values

Hanoi Techcombank Marathon 2025 l spread cultural values

On October 3, in Hanoi, the Opening Ceremony of the 4th Techcombank Hanoi International Marathon was solemnly held under the direction of the Hanoi People's Committee, chaired by the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports , in coordination with Vietnam Technological and Commercial Joint Stock Bank (Techcombank) - strategic sponsor and Sunrise Events Vietnam (SEV).

The tournament officially took place on October 5, gathering more than 13,000 domestic and international athletes, competing on a route passing through many famous historical and cultural sites of the Capital, spreading the message "Run for a superior Vietnam".

The 2025 season opening ceremony marked an inspiring return of the iconic sporting event for Hanoi, with the number of athletes increasing nearly 1.5 times compared to last year.

Speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Vu Thu Ha - Vice Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee, emphasized: Techcombank Hanoi International Marathon is not only a sports race but also a cultural journey, helping athletes and people feel the vibrant life, beautiful landscapes, and thousand-year-old values ​​of the civilized capital.

"Hanoi City will coordinate closely to ensure the tournament takes place safely, professionally and leaves a deep impression on international friends," said Ms. Vu Thu Ha.

Applying AI, spreading sportsmanship, connecting the community

Immediately after the opening ceremony, Marathon Village 2025 officially opened at Vinhomes Riverside Long Bien. Here, Techcombank Expo impressed with the display area of ​​innovative technology solutions and unique items under the theme "Technology and the future".

This year, the prize's set of items was inspired by Khue Van Cac - the symbol of knowledge of Thang Long citadel - combining the design of "intersecting curves" symbolizing flexibility, connectivity and community strength.

A special highlight of the season is the application of artificial intelligence (AI) on the track to create personalized videos for each athlete. Within 24-36 hours after the end, each person will receive a video recording their memorable moment.

Previously, the campaign "Create AI videos - Become a Techcombank Marathon 2025 ambassador" attracted more than 50,000 videos created in two weeks, demonstrating the unique combination of sports and modern technology.

On the official race day, more than 13,000 athletes from 51 countries and territories will compete on the heritage route, passing through the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, the National Assembly, Long Bien Bridge, and many other iconic structures of Hanoi. Each step is not only a journey to conquer physical strength, but also an experience of the intersection between culture and modernity.

In particular, the oldest athlete - 81 years old - will participate in the 21km distance, promising to inspire strong will and passion for sports. In addition, many typical faces of Vietnamese athletics such as Hoang Nguyen Thanh, Hoang Thi Oanh, Nguyen Trung Cuong will also participate, along with the "No-number Train (Sub 3)" consisting of nearly 80 runners who have completed the marathon in under 3 hours, expressing the desire to reach new limits.

At the opening ceremony, Techcombank donated 2 billion VND to the Hanoi "For the Poor" Fund, the Children's Support Fund, the Basketball Federation and the Hanoi Sports Bicycle and Motorbike Federation.

With 37 typical landmarks selected as highlights, the route meets AIMS international standards, the tournament not only brings a high-class sports experience but also contributes to promoting the image of the Capital on the global marathon map."

This year's tournament was broadcast live on VTV, via VTV Go, VTV Sports Fanpage, VTV Sports Youtube and the official Fanpage of Techcombank Vietnam, helping millions of viewers to watch online, interact and spread the sporting spirit.
