Ngo Quyen District: Opening of the District-level Competition for Excellent Homeroom Teachers, School Year 2023-2024

(Haiphong.gov.vn) – On the morning of February 22, at An Da Secondary School, Ngo Quyen District, the opening ceremony of the District-level Excellent Homeroom Teacher Competition for the 2023-2024 school year opened to improve the quality of homeroom teacher work of the teaching staff.

17 teachers representing the Homeroom Teachers of Secondary Schools in the district participated in the Competition. The teachers participated in the Practice of a period of organizing educational activities, content of weeks 23 and 24 according to the School Plan of An Da Secondary School and presented a report on a measure to contribute to improving the quality of homeroom work at the educational institution where the teachers are working.

Head of the Department of Education and Training of Ngo Quyen district, Tran Thi Hong Hiep, delivered the opening speech of the contest.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the contest, Head of the Department of Education and Training of Ngo Quyen District Tran Thi Hong Hiep said that the contest aims to discover and honor excellent homeroom teachers, promote outstanding individuals, promote emulation movements in schools, and is also one of the solutions to improve the quality of homeroom teachers' work. Not only honoring excellent homeroom teachers, the contest also creates opportunities for teachers to practice self-study, creativity, learning, exchanging, communicating, and disseminating experiences in homeroom work for teachers. The contest results are evidence for participating in the assessment of professional standards and implementing policies for teachers according to current regulations.

The contest contributes to assessing the actual capacity and pedagogical skills of each teacher working as a homeroom teacher.

After the Competition, Teachers recognized as Excellent Homeroom Teachers will be responsible for re-teaching the lesson on organizing educational activities and reporting on the measures they took in the Competition within the school to share experiences in effectively applying them in homeroom work.
