Affirming the role as the main communication channel of the Ministry of Justice

(Chinhphu.vn) - On the afternoon of July 10, Vietnam Law Newspaper held a ceremony to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the first issue (July 10, 1985 - July 10, 2025) and launch the Convergence Newsroom - an important milestone on the journey of comprehensive digital transformation and modernization of journalism activities in the legal field.

Born on July 10, 1985 with the name of Common Law, this is the first legal newspaper of the Internal Affairs Bloc, widely distributed nationwide.

From a publication printed in lead type, the Newspaper has gradually grown, changed its name to Law Newspaper (1995) and then Vietnam Law Newspaper (2005), marking its transformation into a national legal media agency.

The achievements of the Newspaper over the past 40 years have been achieved thanks to the close guidance of the Party Committee, the leaders of the Ministry of Justice, press management agencies, Central Committees, Ministries, branches, local authorities... and the unceasing efforts of the journalists of Vietnam Law.

Editor-in-Chief Vu Hoai Nam affirmed that, after 40 years, Vietnam Law Newspaper is not only the mouthpiece of the Ministry of Justice but also a legal bridge connecting the State with the people. With the spirit of "The Party trusts, the people love - businesses accompany", the Newspaper will continue to uphold its mission of serving the law, serving readers and contributing to a fair, democratic and civilized society.

Speaking at the Anniversary Ceremony, Deputy Minister of Justice Nguyen Thanh Ngoc acknowledged that, after 40 years of continuous efforts and growth, Vietnam Law Newspaper has fulfilled its role as the mouthpiece of the Ministry of Justice, demonstrating its mission of actively and deeply participating in information and propaganda.

From the work of building and perfecting the law enforcement institution, disseminating legal education , controlling administrative procedures, enforcing civil judgments, assisting in the judiciary... each field is conveyed promptly and accurately by the Newspaper, making an important contribution to orienting public opinion and creating consensus in implementing legal policies.

Vietnam Law Newspaper has become an effective policy criticism channel, listening to and conveying the thoughts and aspirations of people, businesses, and legal experts to policy-making agencies, contributing to improving the quality of legal documents.

Vietnam Law Newspaper always promptly grasps the political viewpoints of the Party, the State, and the Ministry of Justice, promoting policy communication work, especially launching peak campaigns to propagate the Politburo's Resolutions, especially the four "Quad Pillar" Resolutions for the country to take off, contributing to the successful completion of the political tasks of the Ministry and branches, which are highly appreciated by public opinion.

Also on this important occasion, Vietnam Law Newspaper launched the Convergence Editorial Office - an inevitable step to keep up with the times, to implement the Prime Minister's decision and the Ministry of Justice's Digital Transformation Plan.
