The Minister of Transport decided to inaugurate two North-South expressway projects, Nha Trang - Cam Lam and Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet sections, on May 19.

Minister of Transport Nguyen Van Thang has just signed a decision to promulgate the Plan to organize the Inauguration Ceremony of the North-South Expressway Construction Project in the Eastern region in the period of 2017-2020 (phase 1) Nha Trang - Cam Lam and Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet sections.

The inauguration ceremony will be held live on the morning of May 19, 2023 at two locations.

In particular, the inauguration ceremony of the two projects and the ribbon-cutting ceremony of the Nha Trang - Cam Lam section project will be held at Km 33+800 (mid-route) in Cam Hiep Nam commune, Cam Lam district, Khanh Hoa province .

The ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet section project was held at Km 1604+700 of the Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet project (intersection with National Highway 1) in Vinh Hao commune, Tuy Phong district, Binh Thuan province.

The Nha Trang - Cam Lam component project is the first public-private partnership (PPP) component project of the North-South Eastern Expressway Project in the 2017-2020 period to reach completion. The main route construction time was shortened by 3 months compared to the required schedule.

The project is over 49km long, with 4 lanes and a roadbed width of 17m. The total investment is over 5,500 billion VND. The investor is Son Hai Group, the project enterprise is Nha Trang - Cam Lam Expressway Investment Company Limited.

The Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet expressway project has a total length of 100.8km passing through Binh Thuan province.

In the phased phase, the project is invested with a scale of 4 lanes, roadbed width of 17m, the excavated and raised sections have a scale of 4 lanes, roadbed width of 32.25m. The total investment of the project is more than 10,800 billion VND from the State budget.
