On the evening of August 21, Hanoi was resplendent in lights and flags as the rehearsal for the military parade and march to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day, September 2, took place at Ba Dinh Square.

The atmosphere at the intersection of Hang Chao – Hung Vuong – Nguyen Thai Hoc was as bustling as a festival. Red flags fluttered in the sky, and each group of soldiers marched past one after another, warmly welcomed by the people.

The smiles, eyes, and waves of the soldiers erased the distance between the army and the people, leaving beautiful, simple, but extremely impressive images.
