Started construction of houses for poor households and visited and gave gifts to the elderly

*On the morning of October 1, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Tien Hung commune organized the groundbreaking ceremony to build a house for Ms. Luong Thi Lanh (born in 1972), residing in Dong village, Tien Hung commune, a social protection beneficiary, in especially difficult circumstances, living alone, without relatives to care for her. Due to the impact of storm No. 3 (Wipha) in 2025, Ms. Lanh's dilapidated level 4 house was seriously damaged, greatly affecting her daily life. Ms. Lanh was supported with 80 million VND from the "Relief" Fund of Hung Yen province managed by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province to build a new house with an area of ​​25m², flat roof structure, expected to be completed and put into use in November 2025. The support activities demonstrate the care and concern of all levels, sectors and the community, helping households in difficult circumstances to stabilize their lives, work and produce with peace of mind.

* Hong Minh Commune visits and gives gifts to the elderly

On the occasion of the International Day of Older Persons (October 1), on September 30 and October 1, representatives of the Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hong Minh commune visited and presented gifts to 14 people over 100 years old in the area.

Representatives of Hong Minh commune leaders visited and presented gifts to Ms. Doan Thi Lan (102 years old) in Co Trai village.

At the families, representatives of the commune leaders kindly asked about the health and life of the elderly, expressed their respect and gratitude for the contributions of the elderly in the cause of building and developing the homeland. At the same time, they wished the elderly to continue to live happily and healthily, to be a spiritual support and exemplary role model for their children and grandchildren. On this occasion, the commune gave each elderly person a gift worth 100,000 VND.

Visiting and giving gifts on the annual International Day of Older Persons is a meaningful activity, demonstrating the nation's fine tradition of "respecting the elderly and valuing longevity", while affirming the role and position of the elderly in social life.
