Arousing patriotism and the desire to contribute from the

Teacher, Ms. Nguyen Thi Huong and students in a lesson about the "Declaration of Independence".

For generations of teachers and students in this S-shaped strip of land, the "Declaration of Independence" drafted by President Ho Chi Minh and solemnly read by the Provisional Government of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam before the entire nation, compatriots, and international friends at Ba Dinh Square 80 years ago is not simply a political work with outstanding content and art.

Above all, it is a great national founding document, conveying the messages and immortal aspirations of a nation that heroically broke the chains of slavery and fought for independence and freedom. For that reason, each lesson of teaching and learning the “Declaration of Independence” is a moment filled with feelings of honor, pride and arousing a strong spirit of patriotism.

Teacher, Ms. Nguyen Thi Huong, Literature teacher, Quang Xuong I High School, shared: “Mentioning President Ho Chi Minh is mentioning a person who strongly loves his country, a hero of national liberation, an outstanding cultural celebrity. He left behind a great literary legacy in terms of ideological stature, rich in genres and diverse in artistic styles. President Ho Chi Minh's literature is a priceless legacy that is organically linked to his revolutionary career. President Ho Chi Minh wrote the "Declaration of Independence" with the hot blood of love for humanity and the talent and passion of a leader."

In more than 20 years of teaching Literature, Ms. Huong cannot remember how many times she has stood on the podium, sat in front of the computer screen, enthusiastically explaining, communicating, and discussing with her students about the circumstances of its creation, unique content, artistic value, and meaning of the "Declaration of Independence".

Learning about the circumstances of the birth of the “Declaration of Independence”, the current generation of descendants engraves in their minds the historic autumn days of 1945, in a time of urgency, although still tired from the long journey and having just recovered from a serious illness, President Ho Chi Minh still worked diligently. The second attic of the house at 48 Hang Ngang - “a small, dimly lit room of a deep house, located in the middle of one of the thirty-six ancient streets of Hanoi ” is where President Ho Chi Minh drafted the first words of the “Declaration of Independence”.

The work "Declaration of Independence" is an immortal piece of literature, a political document of great historical value, solid legal value, noble ideological value, exemplary artistic value and rich humanistic value, firmly affirming the independence and freedom of the Vietnamese people and the iron determination to protect that independence and freedom.

“Those are pages written with the blood and tears of President Ho Chi Minh in particular and of the entire Vietnamese people in general. The heroism of the writer met the heroism of the times, creating an eternal piece of literature. Behind the strong arguments are boundless emotions swirling in each word, each line,” Ms. Huong commented.

“Declaration of Independence” in the hearts of young people

“The autumn sunshine of Ba Dinh/ Golden on Uncle Ho's mausoleum/ The sky is still clear/ Independence Declaration Day”... (Ba Dinh Sunshine – Nguyen Phan Hach).

There are moments in history that are forever etched in the hearts of the nation, becoming a guiding flag for future generations. President Ho Chi Minh’s “Declaration of Independence” is such an immortal piece of literature – an immortal epic of the Vietnamese people on the journey to affirm the right to life, the right to freedom, the right to happiness. In the hearts of young people, the “Declaration of Independence” is the country’s call to arms that will echo for thousands of years.

“Reading the work, I admire the intellectual stature and burning patriotic heart of President Ho Chi Minh. His political pen is both sharp in reasoning and passionate in emotion. The short, decisive sentences, resounding like thunder, make the reader’s heart vibrate with utmost pride”, those are the confessions of young girl Le Ky Duyen, Linh Son commune.

The heroic poem of the new era, echoing in the autumn sky of history, has long been a guiding flag, fostering pride and aspiration for eternal life for all generations of Lac Hong descendants. Ky Duyen said with tears in her eyes: “The “Declaration of Independence” gave me the opportunity to hear the heartbeat of an entire nation, to see the figures of those who fell for independence today. I felt like I was reliving the historic moment in Ba Dinh Square in 1945, when the Vietnamese people first raised their voices to affirm their right to live, their right to freedom and their right to happiness before the whole world. I am more deeply aware of the value of peace, more appreciative of freedom and remind myself to live a more worthy life, to study, practice and contribute to preserving the beautiful country that our ancestors paid for with their blood and bones.”

Arousing patriotism and the desire to contribute from the

Reading the work "Declaration of Independence", young girl Le Ky Duyen, Linh Son commune, always admired the intellectual stature and burning patriotic heart of President Ho Chi Minh.

For young writer Le Dinh Trung, member of Thanh Hoa Literature and Arts Association, the “Declaration of Independence” is an immortal heritage of the Vietnamese people that the previous generations of fathers and grandfathers did not spare their blood, bones, youth with unfinished dreams ahead to fight and sacrifice for national independence. Peace and independence are not obvious things, but are trade-offs, the losses and sacrifices cannot be measured. In the villages, on each family altar, the traces of war are still there through the photos of martyrs, the cemeteries of those who died and were recognized by the Fatherland.

The honor and pride that permeate every line of the Declaration are strongly transmitted throughout the ages. “The “Declaration of Independence” is a lesson about the value of peace and the responsibility of future generations to preserve that peace and independence, to understand more deeply what independence, freedom and patriotism are. From then on, we once again remember the merits of many previous generations and to be honored and proud every time we say: “I am Vietnamese” - young writer Le Dinh Trung expressed.

Today, in the joyful atmosphere of the whole country on the days of commemorating the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and National Day September 2, the whole nation seems to be reliving the important historical moment, listening to the echoes of President Ho Chi Minh reading the "Declaration of Independence" on the flagpole, warmly asking: "I said, can you hear me clearly?"...
