In that context, Vietnam Television Center in Ho Chi Minh City in coordination with Ho Chi Minh City Police, Lam Dong Provincial Police and several other localities will officially launch the communication campaign "National fight against fraud".
The campaign was born with the mission of building a "shield" to protect people in cyberspace by raising awareness, equipping them with the necessary knowledge and skills to identify and prevent all forms of fraud.
Vietnam is currently among the top countries in Southeast Asia hit by cyber fraud.
The problem of data leakage has also increased sharply with 14.5 million leaked accounts, accounting for 12% of the global number, leading to a lot of personal information and business documents being widely sold on social networking platforms.
The implementation of the "National Anti-Fraud" campaign is expected to be a meaningful activity, aiming at a special event, when Vietnam will host the signing ceremony of the United Nations Convention against Cybercrime, taking place from October 25 to 26, 2025.
