Overseas Vietnamese in Russia warmly welcome the Vietnamese Army delegation at Red Square

On the evening of May 3 (Moscow time), the Vietnam People's Army delegation arrived at Red Square to prepare for a preliminary rehearsal of the military parade to celebrate the 80th anniversary of Victory Day in the Great Patriotic War.

Hundreds of overseas Vietnamese and Vietnamese students in Russia were present on the road leading to Red Square to wait for the delegation.

Overseas Vietnamese and students holding Vietnamese and Russian flags welcome officers and soldiers of the Vietnam People's Army.

In the joyful atmosphere, everyone sang the song "As if Uncle Ho was here on the day of great victory".

People prepared 100 scarves and food to give to the soldiers for dinner.

Vietnamese soldiers participated in the first joint training session on April 27 at the Alabino training ground, about 100km from the center of Moscow, then went to practice at Red Square on April 29. The final rehearsal is scheduled to be held on May 7.

86 soldiers of Army Officer School 1 will represent the Vietnam People's Army in the parade taking place on Red Square in Moscow on May 9.

The selected soldiers are 19-30 years old and 1.8m or taller. These are officers, lecturers and students with well-proportioned bodies, who can execute commands quickly, strongly and accurately.
