"The training effort and mental will on the track helped us win," athlete Vu Tan Thanh, a member of Thang Long Swimming Club ( Hanoi ), told Dan Tri after he and his teammates won the Open Water Mixes Team Relay 4x750m championship, held for the first time at the Aqua Warriors Van Don 2025 - Camel Cup tournament held on the afternoon of September 27 at Van Don economic zone (Quang Ninh) organized by Dan Tri newspaper and Bolt Event.

The Open Water Mixed Team Relay 4x750m requires each team to have 4 athletes (minimum 1 male and 1 female). Each athlete takes turns swimming 750m before passing the chip to their teammate. The strategy and team spirit make the Mixed Team Relay an exciting and dramatic competition that attracts a large number of athletes.
In this event, Thang Long Hanoi Swimming Club won convincingly with 4 members who are all former national swimming team athletes, including Vu Tan Thanh, Ngo Thu Ha, Le Thi Ha My and Nguyen Van Sang.

In all four competitions, the above athletes finished first in each swimming round and won the championship in a dramatic way with a time of 45 minutes and 23 seconds (exactly 24 seconds faster than the second-placed team and 64 seconds faster than the third-placed team).
"Our entire team has undergone serious and diligent training over the past three months, with an average intensity of five sessions per week. The championship is a worthy result of the team's efforts and determination, especially thanks to the two female members Ngo Thu Ha and Le Thi Ha My," said athlete Vu Tan Thanh.
Although this event only requires at least 1 female athlete in the team, Thang Long Swimming Club has 2 female members participating, both of whom have achieved swimming parameters that even men admire.
Accordingly, Ngo Thu Ha achieved the 100m swim in 1 minute 38 seconds, Le Thi Ha My achieved the 100m swim in 1 minute 42 seconds. Meanwhile, member Nguyen Van Sang swam 100m in 1 minute 30 seconds and Vu Tan Thanh in 1 minute 20 seconds.
"Last year, I competed with a teammate in the Full Aqua Warriors Van Don event but DNF (did not finish the event) because my teammate fainted about 200m from the finish line. At Aqua Warriors Ha Long Bay 2025 in April, I competed and won the Full Aqua Warriors Solo event, so I was very confident when competing in this new event.
This was a very exciting competition, demonstrating great tactical and team spirit. The whole team tried very hard, especially athlete Nguyen Van Sang who could barely walk after finishing. The championship made us feel very proud," athlete Ngo Thu Ha expressed.

"Today's championship is the motivation for us to continue trying in the next competitions. No matter the result, we will have interesting experiences in this tournament," athlete Ngo Thu Ha concluded.
