Celebrating the 49th anniversary of the liberation of Tam Thanh commune

After 49 years of healing the wounds of war and joining hands to build the homeland, Tam Thanh commune has had many positive changes. The fishing industry has developed in scale with 49 large-capacity mid-shore fishing vessels and more than 150 small-scale fishing vessels from 6 - 15CV, mainly inshore. The annual fishing and aquaculture output increased from 1,250 tons in 1999 to 5,200 tons in 2023.

Infrastructure has been invested synchronously. Up to now, the commune has no poor households in the poverty reduction impact group. The Tam Thanh Commune Community Tourism Village project has been invested in, and many tourism products have been renewed, attracting thousands of visitors to visit and relax.

On this occasion, the People's Committee of Tam Thanh commune opened the 10th Sports Congress in 2024 with the following competitions: men's and women's rowing; Chinese chess; men's volleyball; men's and women's football (7 players); athletics; swimming; round basket shaking and tug of war.
