Heavy rain causes localized flooding in many areas south of Da Nang

Heavy rain from the evening of September 26 to noon today, September 27, caused many streets in the southern wards of Da Nang City to be flooded.

Due to the impact of storm No. 10, many localities in the South of Da Nang City have had heavy to very heavy rain since the evening of September 26th until now. Low-lying roads such as Nguyen Chi Thanh, Trung Nu Vuong (Ban Thach Ward), Phan Boi Chau, Hung Vuong, Huynh Thuc Khang (Tam Ky Ward)... are flooded.

Many sections of water were about 0.3-0.5m deep, causing damage to cars and motorbikes passing through this area.

A car was damaged while passing through a deeply flooded section of Hung Vuong Street (Tam Ky Ward).

At noon on September 27, the Central Hydrometeorological Station issued a flash flood warning in Da Nang City. Accordingly, in the past 6 hours (from 5:00 to 11:00 on September 27), Da Nang City had moderate rain, heavy rain, and very heavy rain in some places such as: Hoa Khuong 52.4mm; Hoa Quy 51.6mm, Hoa Hai 50.6mm; Hoa Xuan 58mm; Suoi Luong 95.6mm; Hoa Bac 75.2mm; Tam Loc 52.6mm...

Many roads in Ban Thach ward, Tam Ky are flooded.

Warning in the next 3 hours, there is a risk of flooding on roads and low-lying areas, in 10 wards and communes including: Hoa Cuong ward, Thanh Khe ward, Hai Chau ward, An Hai ward, Cam Le ward, Hoa Xuan ward, Tam Ky ward, Ban Thach ward, Huong Tra ward, Tay Ho commune.

Localized flooding makes travel difficult

Flooding is likely to last until early afternoon on September 27, with a common flood depth of 0.1 - 0.2m, and in some places higher from 0.3 - 0.5m.
