The 2026 high school graduation exam will be kept stable as in 2025, but there will be some adjustments; at the same time, information technology will continue to be applied in all stages.
According to the 2025-2026 school year schedule issued by the Ministry of Education and Training , the 2026 high school graduation exam is expected to take place on June 11 and 12.
This is the latest information from the Ministry of Education and Training regarding new points of the 2026 high school graduation exam.
Specifically, the Ministry of Education and Training plans to adjust a number of regulations and procedures for organizing exams to ensure more suitability and convenience for units in the context of restructuring provincial administrative units. As planned, candidates' exam registration files will only be kept at high schools; exam notices and exam cards will be integrated into a single type called "Exam Notice" and issued by the high school where candidates submit their exam registration files; temporary graduation certificates and exam result certificates will be integrated into "Exam Result Certificates" and issued by the high school where candidates submit their exam registration files.
The Ministry of Education and Training also plans to amend regulations related to inspection and testing during exams to ensure compliance with the transfer of education inspection departments at all levels to the Government Inspectorate and provincial inspectorates.
The time for receiving applications for re-examining high school graduation exams in 2026 is also expected to be reduced compared to 2025 so that re-examining results can be announced to candidates sooner, creating convenience for the enrollment work of universities and vocational training institutions.
At the same time, the Ministry of Education and Training also plans to adjust the review scoring process to increase efficiency and quality.
One of the important proposed adjustments is the regulation that all papers with changed scores during the review process must be subject to dialogue.
