(GLO)- At the opening session of the mid-term conference on the morning of May 15, mentioning that the Party Central Committee will conduct a vote of confidence for members of the Politburo and Secretariat of the 13th tenure, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong affirmed that this is one of the very important innovations in the Party's personnel work, which has been carried out since the 11th tenure.
The purpose of the vote of confidence is to better and more effectively implement the policies, guidelines, resolutions and conclusions of the Party Central Committee on the work of building and rectifying the Party and a clean and strong political system in all aspects; to build a contingent of high-ranking Party officials with sufficient qualities, capacity, prestige, and equal to the task. This is also a way for those who are eligible for a vote of confidence to "self-examine" and "self-correct". Whatever is good and positive must continue to be promoted; whatever is bad and negative must be seriously corrected to become more and more perfect, meeting the requirements of the cause of building and defending the Fatherland in the new situation, contributing to consolidating and strengthening the trust of cadres, Party members and people in the Party.
During the 11th and 12th terms, the Party Central Committee held two votes of confidence for members of the Politburo and Secretariat. It can be said that those who were put forward for votes of confidence were the elite of the elite, the quintessence of the quintessence. Because most of them were people holding the leading positions of the Party and State's leadership agencies, carrying on them the great honor and responsibility that all Party members and all classes of people trusted and entrusted. Therefore, it is not surprising that most of those who were put forward for votes of confidence by the Party Central Committee achieved a high level of trust and confidence.
In this mid-term vote of confidence for the XIII term, Politburo and Secretariat members are still considered according to three levels: "high confidence", "confidence" and "low confidence". Although it is only an information channel, it is a very important information channel to help recognize, evaluate and classify the level of meeting the task requirements of leaders when the vote is carried out according to Regulation 96-QD/TW. In particular, it is worth noting that the criteria on the exemplary role of the family and children of leaders are considered. Because there have been many cases where leaders let their wives, children and families influence and take advantage of their influence, leading to mistakes and shortcomings, causing loss of prestige for individuals and organizations.
Half of the term has passed, and the time and work practices are sufficient for the Party Central Committee to have a basis to evaluate and comment on the political qualities, ethics, lifestyle, sense of organization and discipline; the level of completion of assigned duties and tasks of the 21 members of the Politburo and the Secretariat. The remaining important thing is that the members of the Party Central Committee need to clearly express their opinions on the level of trust for each person in accordance with Regulation No. 96-QD/TW and Plan No. 16-KH/TW of the Politburo; ensuring that the vote of confidence will bring about objective, accurate and convincing results. Because the vote of confidence is not just for reference, but from now on, the results of this will be the basis for evaluating, arranging, transferring and implementing the Party's cadre policy.
Cadres, party members and people across the country expect the members of the Party Central Committee to promote their sense of responsibility as the Party's elite, objectively and correctly assessing the qualities, abilities, performance results of assigned duties and responsibilities and the prestige of those who are voted for. Those votes of responsibility will contribute to building and consolidating the quality of the Party's leadership cadres to be increasingly better, more talented, more transparent, more enthusiastic in contributing to the people and the country, making our Party increasingly cleaner and stronger.
