Ancient pear gardens blooming on the mountainside, blending with the Dao Tien ethnic village, make this place an attractive destination for tourists.

In mid-March, pear blossoms bloom in white in many villages in Hong Thai (Na Hang, Tuyen Quang ), creating a poetic, dreamy scene, attracting tourists from all over. Early in the morning, amidst the hazy clouds, pear blossoms are like snowflakes floating in the sky.

In recent years, in Hong Thai commune, Na Hang district, pear trees - a cold-climate fruit tree - have been planted to both harvest fruit and create a landscape for tourism development.

Pear blossoms have the pure white color and clear beauty of the Northwest mountains and forests. Pear blossom season only lasts a few weeks after Tet, so it is not an exaggeration to say that you have to go "hunting" to witness the time when the pear forest is pure white and in full bloom.

Pear flowers are closely associated with the cultural life of ethnic people. Hong Thai commune is also home to the majority of the Dao Tien ethnic group. Located at an altitude of 1,200m above sea level, Hong Thai commune (Na Hang, Tuyen Quang) is the highest commune in the province, with a cool climate all year round, quite similar to the misty town of Sa Pa ( Lao Cai ). Thanks to that, pear trees grow well. Currently, people not only grow pears to harvest fruit but also take advantage of the pear blossom season for tourism.

According to Ms. Thuy, the distance from Hanoi to Hong Thai pear forest is about 300km, including many mountain passes. The total travel time is up to 6-7 hours. "I chose a white ao dai to blend in with the scenery here. In the morning, I wake up in the fresh air, watching the flowers blooming in the mist and early morning sun. Occasionally, a breeze blows, the petals fall gently, extremely romantic".

From Hanoi, it takes you about 6 hours by car to reach Na Hang district through winding mountain passes. But the effort is completely worth it when you stand in the middle of the immense pear slopes as beautiful as in a fairy tale.
