Lam Dong: Organizing Kate Festival at Po Sah Inư Tower Relic

VHO - The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lam Dong province has issued a Plan to organize the Kate Festival in 2025. The Kate Festival of the Cham people will take place from October 20 to 21 at the Po Sah Inư Tower Relic (Ward 5, Phu Thuy Ward, Lam Dong Province), including the ceremony and the festival.

The ceremony is considered the main and core content, conducted by Cham dignitaries in Ham Thuan Bac and Ham Thuan communes, following traditional customs. The festival includes games, competitions, and performances introducing traditional crafts and performing Cham folk arts to create an exciting, joyful and united atmosphere.

Ms. Le Thi Truc Linh, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lam Dong province, Head of the Organizing Committee of the Kate Festival at the Po Sah Inu Tower Relic in 2025, said: Up to now, the Kate Festival has been carefully prepared and basically completed. The Kate Festival of the Cham people following Brahmanism is a precious cultural heritage, with a long history of formation and existence and is preserved to this day.

The festival is not only an occasion to express solidarity and unity, but also a sacred moment for everyone in the community to turn to their roots, show gratitude to their ancestors and preserve unique traditional cultural values.

The joy of the Cham Brahman ethnic community from localities such as Tuy Phong, Lien Huong, Bac Binh, Hong Thai, Ham Thuan Bac, Ham Thuan, Tan Thanh, Son My, Tanh Linh, together with the participation of tourists from everywhere, will make the Kate Festival a truly memorable season.

In the coming time, Lam Dong province will continue to promote the conservation, preservation and promotion of the value of the national intangible cultural heritage - the Kate Festival of the Cham people, in order to best meet the cultural enjoyment needs of the people and tourists. At the same time, promote the introduction and promotion to the people, domestic and international tourists about the value, meaning and unique cultural features of the Cham people.

Organizing the Kate Festival is a practical action contributing to the successful implementation of the Resolution of the 12th National Party Congress on the goal: "Building an advanced culture, imbued with national identity, comprehensively developing Vietnamese people to meet the requirements of sustainable national development and firmly protecting the Vietnamese Fatherland."
