Singing in Vietnamese for the first time at Miss Grand International, how did Que Anh perform?

Round 2 of the "Grand Voice" competition at Miss Grand International 2024 just took place with performances by the top 14 best contestants, including Vo Le Que Anh - representative of Vietnam.

After two performances in the first round, this time Que Anh decided to choose a Vietnamese song to compete. She performed the song Dat Nuoc Loi Lu by musician Van Thanh Nho with a more modern musical arrangement.

Wearing a design adapted from the Vietnamese Ao yem, Que Anh performed confidently and quite well. She also performed a dance as a highlight at the end of the song.

Sharing about this competition, Que Anh said she wanted to convey her love for her homeland and national pride. More specifically, she hopes that she can contribute a small part in introducing and promoting the image, traditional beauty and culture of Vietnam to international friends.

Compared to Que Anh's two previous competition songs, " Like that" and "Everytime we touch", this time the online community praised the beauty queen for choosing a Vietnamese song.

However, Que Anh’s choice of the song Dat Nuoc Loi Lu was judged to be too much for her. During the performance, Que Anh sang out of tune and out of breath many times. The audience judged Que Anh’s choice of a song that was not suitable for her voice to be a risky decision.

Even though she sings Vietnamese songs, Que Anh still causes controversy.

Recently, Que Anh also received more good news. Accordingly, the Miss Grand International organizing committee announced the list of 10 contestants with the most votes in the swimsuit competition. Miss Que Anh was called and has the opportunity to get closer to the title of "Best In Swimsuit" this year.

During a livestream chat with fans, Que Anh revealed that she had just received all her luggage back. Before that, she was unable to do many different hairstyles because the hairdressing equipment in her personal suitcase was transported by the organizers to another place.

In addition, when asked by the audience about not wearing earrings often when participating in activities, the beauty revealed that "my ears are often swollen and bleed all the time, so it's difficult to wear earrings because they always bleed."

Que Anh and the contestants returned to Bangkok to continue the competition.

Currently, Que Anh has completed more than half of her journey to Miss Grand International 2024 , but she is facing many challenges. Some incidents in the early days have more or less made the Vietnamese representative lose sympathy in the eyes of international audiences.

Que Anh received a lot of criticism for her inappropriate behavior at a Miss Grand International 2024 meeting. Specifically, the Vietnamese beauty grabbed the microphone from the Cambodian beauty without paying attention to the contestant's confused expression.

In addition, the fact that Que Anh always sang in Korean or dressed revealingly at the competition also received a lot of controversy from the audience.

Que Anh is expected to break through before the final.

Vo Le Que Anh, born in 2001, was crowned Miss Grand Vietnam 2024. The 23-year-old beauty has achieved many achievements in city-level beauty contests such as Runner-up of Hue University 2020, Top 40 Miss Vietnam 2020 and 1st Runner-up of Da Nang Tourism 2022.

According to the announced schedule, Que Anh and 71 other contestants will have a closed interview round on October 19, then participate in the national costume performance on October 20. The semi-final night and the final round of the Grand Voice Awards are scheduled to take place on October 22.

The Miss Grand International 2024 final will be held on October 25 in Bangkok, Thailand.
