At the opening ceremony, Ms. Nguyen Hong Chi, Deputy Director of the Thang Long Heritage Conservation Center in Hanoi, affirmed that Co Loa - the capital of the Au Lac State during the time of An Duong Vuong - is a symbol of the intelligence, bravery and creativity of our ancestors in the early days of nation building.

In that glorious history, the land and people of Co Loa - Dong Anh have made great contributions, accompanying the nation in revolutionary movements, building and defending the Fatherland.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Luong, Vice Chairwoman of Dong Anh Commune People's Committee, also hopes that the exhibition will be an opportunity for today's young generation and each Dong Anh resident to understand more and be more proud; from there, strive to study, practice, contribute intelligence and strength to build the homeland to be more and more rich, beautiful and civilized.

Tradition and Revolution – two sacred sources have converged, building a resilient Co Loa in history, renewing and developing today.

During the revolutionary period, Co Loa - Dong Anh and some neighboring areas were one of the ATK (safe zones) of the Central Committee of the Indochinese Communist Party during the secret period of 1941 - 1945.

Co Loa today is a continuation of historical development through the ages, becoming a densely populated area with many historical, cultural, artistic relics, archaeological sites, revolutionary resistance relics, unique customs, religions, beliefs, traditional festivals...

All those tangible and intangible values, along with the ideological and spiritual values that our ancestors left for today's generation, have created a Co Loa relic site with a rich history and culture and rich in types of relics in Vietnam.
