Spreading the model of "Skilled Mass Mobilization" in Bac Tra My

One of the typical “Skilled People’s Mobilization” models recognized at the district level in 2023 in Bac Tra My district is the model of mobilizing local women to make traditional beaded necklaces in Long Son village (Tra Son commune). When the community tourism development project was implemented, many tourist groups came to visit Cao Son village.

The Women's Union of Tra Son commune has mobilized members in the village to string beads into jewelry products bearing the cultural identity of the Ca Dong people as souvenirs for tourists and to display at fairs and exhibitions in the district. More than 20 local workers have had extra jobs from stringing beads.

Ms. Ho Thom in Long Son village (Tra Son commune) said: "With the guidance of the women in the commune's Women's Union, the women in our village bought raw beads and divided into 2 groups to string products such as bracelets, necklaces, keychains, etc. Each product sells for 25 - 50 thousand VND, so the women in the village have an additional source of income for their families."

In village 3B (Tra Giac commune), the model of "Skilled mass mobilization" to mobilize people to restore the rice growing area in village 3B also brought practical results.

In March 2023, the Bac Tra My District Forest Protection Management Board organized a meeting to propagate and mobilize people in village 3B not to destroy or encroach on natural forest areas for upland rice cultivation because this is a violation of the Forestry Law.

The management board has agreed with Tra Giac commune and the people of village 3B to support machinery and workers to build small dams to retain water and restore abandoned agricultural land in Dong Xung with an area of ​​over 1.1 hectares for growing rice. The people of village 3B have cultivated and harvested over 4,700 kg of rice in the first summer-autumn crop.

According to the Bac Tra My District People's Mobilization Committee, the entire district has 54 "Skilled People's Mobilization" models in the fields of economy, culture - society, national defense - security, Party building and political system. These models are all closely following reality, receiving the support and response of the people, making an important contribution to the successful implementation of political tasks in the district.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Le - Deputy Head of the People's Mobilization Committee of Bac Tra My district said: "In the coming time, along with maintaining and sustainably developing models and typical examples of effective skillful mass mobilization, the Steering Committee of the "Skillful Mass Mobilization" movement of Bac Tra My district will continue to focus on leading the replication of focused and key models.

At the same time, focus on implementing specialized conferences to exchange and learn experiences between communes and towns in the district to apply good and effective models.

Along with that, the district continues to build new models, arousing the sense of responsibility among cadres, party members, union members, association members and people in competing to carry out this movement, together helping Bac Tra My escape poverty sustainably, building new rural areas".
