Practical care for the people
Attending the handover ceremony of the Great Unity house in residential group 7, Do Vinh ward on a day at the end of September, we were very moved to see the bright smile mixed with tears of happiness of Mrs. Phan Thi Doi (95 years old) when she entered the new spacious house. Mrs. Doi shared: “At my old age, I did not expect to live in such a solid house. This is not only a place to shelter from the sun and rain, but also a consolation and motivation for me to continue to live happily and healthily. I am very grateful to the government, the Front, benefactors and neighbors who joined hands to help”. Mrs. Doi's old house was seriously degraded, leaking in the rainy season and hot in the dry season. Her two children both live far away, life is difficult so they cannot support her much. Therefore, the care of the Front and the community has warmed her old age. The new house has an area of 50 square meters, the construction cost is more than 80 million VND, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Do Vinh ward mobilized donors and neighbors to contribute to the construction. The project is to practically welcome the Congress of Vietnam Fatherland Front delegates at all levels for the 2025 - 2030 term.

Not only building and repairing houses, community health care activities, giving gifts, scholarships and livelihoods, zero-dong stalls, organizing art activities to raise funds for the “For the Poor” Fund... are also actively implemented by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees in localities. Each task, though small, has profound humanistic values, demonstrating the spirit of “helping each other”.
Small work, big meaning
In Thanh My village, Tan Dinh commune, in recent days, people have been very excited when the 150m long, 2.5m wide alley was expanded and concreted. The project cost more than 120 million VND in total, of which the family of Ms. Vo Thi Thuy Hoa - a member of the Village Front Working Committee donated 100 million VND and 50m² of residential land; the rest was contributed by households living along the road. Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoang Oanh - Head of the Thanh My Village Front Working Committee said: "Previously, this road was a dirt road, muddy and slippery in the rainy season, making it very difficult to travel. Thanks to the cooperation and contribution of the community, people donating land, contributing funds and working days, the project has been completed and put into use. Now, people can travel very conveniently and safely, especially at night."
Along with completing the road, people in Thanh My village and Tan Dinh commune also simultaneously launched an environmental sanitation campaign, collected garbage, cleared bushes, and built a national flag road...
Comrade Tran Thu Mai - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee said: "The projects and tasks implemented by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees of communes and wards are very practical, close to the conditions of each locality and the aspirations of the people. Thanks to that, people have responded and actively participated, creating a vibrant competitive atmosphere to welcome the Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels and socio -political organizations for the 2025 - 2030 term".
