On September 11, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Long, Deputy Minister of Public Security, sent a letter of commendation to Lao Cai Provincial Police to commend their achievements in fighting and destroying a high-tech criminal ring that appropriated assets through the form of mobilizing financial investment in the Heliwin cryptocurrency.

The leaders of the Ministry of Public Security were reported: Recently, Lao Cai Provincial Police have proactively coordinated with the Ministry's professional units and the Police of related localities to drastically and effectively deploy plans and professional measures to detect and fight against a high-tech criminal ring that appropriated assets through the form of mobilizing financial investment in the Heliwin cryptocurrency; arrested and prosecuted 13 subjects, seized and temporarily detained money and assets worth about 440 billion VND. The investigation results determined that the subjects had appropriated and illegally profited 780 billion VND from nearly 40,000 people.

This is an outstanding achievement demonstrating the determination, high sense of responsibility and professional sharpness of Lao Cai Provincial Police in implementing the direction of the Central Public Security Party Committee and the leadership of the Ministry of Public Security on preventing and combating organized crime and high-tech crime.

The results of the investigation and discovery of the case reflected the active and effective coordination between the local police and the Ministry's professional units; contributing to deterring and preventing crimes, stabilizing security and order, and strengthening the people's trust in the People's Public Security Forces.
