Leaders of Champasak Provincial People's Council offer incense at the Monument of Vietnamese Heroic Mothers

Also attending the incense offering ceremony were Vice Chairman of the People's Council of Quang Nam province - Nguyen Cong Thanh and representatives of the Department of Foreign Affairs.

The special relationship between Vietnam and Laos has been nurtured by generations of soldiers and people of the two countries through many historical periods. During the two resistance wars against France and the US, the soldiers and people of Vietnam and Laos in general, Quang Nam and the southern Lao provinces in particular, always united, supported each other, stood shoulder to shoulder against the common enemy, and won independence and freedom.

Particularly, the two provinces of Quang Nam and Champasak have built a special traditional friendly and cooperative relationship over the years. The two sides regularly visit, exchange and support each other to develop together in the fields of trade, investment, tourism, culture and education .
