Provincial leaders visit the Northern Mountainous Region General Hospital of Quang Nam on New Year's Eve

Also attending were Deputy Director of the Department of Health - Mr. Huynh Thuan, Secretary of Dai Loc District Party Committee - Mr. Nguyen Hao.

Reporting to the provincial leaders, Dr. Nguyen Thong Nhat - Director of the Northern Quang Nam Regional General Hospital outlined the scale of hospital beds, human resources of the unit; and the plan for on-call duty during Tet. Accordingly, the number of inpatients fluctuates between 1,100 and 1,300 people (not including outpatients); during epidemics such as dengue fever and flu, the number can exceed 1,700 patients/day.

The average outpatient visit volume at the outpatient department is 800 - 900 patients/day. At peak times, it can reach up to 1,200 patient visits/day. The hospital examines and treats patients in the districts of Dai Loc, Dong Giang, Nam Giang, Tay Giang, Que Son and neighboring areas of Dien Ban and Duy Xuyen.

During the transitional period between the year of Giap Thin 2024 and the year of At Ty 2025, there were 376 patients who stayed for treatment. In addition to giving gifts from the Provincial People's Committee to the patients (500,000 VND/person), the hospital also provided free meals for all patients who stayed for treatment during Tet. Along with that, many businesses, organizations, and philanthropists came to give many meaningful gifts, sharing the pain with the patients and their families.

Speaking to the team of managers, doctors and hospital staff, comrade Nguyen Cong Thanh informed the main features of the socio-economic, security and defense situation of Quang Nam province. In 2024, the province achieved many bright spots; that success had a significant contribution from the health sector in general and the Northern Quang Nam Regional General Hospital in particular.

Praising the efforts to overcome common difficulties in the past time, comrade Nguyen Cong Thanh requested the hospital to continue promoting its achievements, applying scientific and technological advances, and digital transformation to carry out professional tasks to a new level. No matter what it does, the unit still determines its top goal to be to provide good medical examination and treatment for people in the northern mountainous districts of the province.
