Lunar New Year 2024 holiday schedule for students in Ho Chi Minh City
The 2024 Lunar New Year holiday and first semester break schedule for students in Ho Chi Minh City are as follows: Students in Ho Chi Minh City will have Lunar New Year holiday from February 5, 2024 (December 26, Quy Mao year) to February 18, 2024 (January 9, Giap Thin year).
The Lunar New Year holiday schedule is included in the 2023-2024 school year schedule approved by the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee for all levels of education from preschool to high school, which specifically stipulates the school opening day, opening ceremony and Lunar New Year holiday schedule.
Semester 1 holiday schedule for students in Ho Chi Minh City
According to the school year plan approved by the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, all levels will start semester I from September 5, 2023 to January 13, 2024. Semester II will start from January 15, 2024 to May 25, 2024. Closing date is from May 26-31, 2024.
The 2023-2024 school year plan was issued by the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee.
Previously, the Ministry of Education and Training issued a framework plan for the 2023-2024 school year, which clearly stated the time for students to return to school. Students nationwide will return to school 1 week earlier than the opening day, with first graders returning 2 weeks earlier.
The Ministry also requested localities to report on the preparation for the school year and the organization of the opening ceremony of the 2023-2024 school year before September 10, summarize the first semester before January 31, 2024, summarize the school year, report on the implementation results of emulation criteria and propose awards for the school year before June 25, 2024.
