U.21 Vietnam played early because the Russian volleyball club was late.
According to the previously announced schedule, the opening match of the VTV Cup 2025 International Women's Volleyball Tournament will be the clash between defending champion Korabelka (Russia) and Thailand U21 team (Group B) at 1:30 p.m. today. However, due to problems with the Russian club's travel to Vietnam, this match will be postponed to 4:00 p.m. (live on VTV5). Therefore, the organizers have also moved the remaining Group B match between Vietnam U21 team and Taiwan team to 1:30 p.m. (live on VTV2) instead of 4:00 p.m. as previously scheduled.
The adjustment of the competition schedule does not affect the Vietnam U.21 team much. Dang Thi Hong and her teammates are well prepared and ready to defeat their opponents Taiwan. For the Vietnam U.21 team, their goal is to take advantage of the opportunity to compete, practice, and perfect the squad for the final round of the U.21 World Cup taking place in Indonesia next August. Korabelka Club will face some difficulties because their late arrival in Vinh Phuc will prevent them from getting used to the competition conditions. However, with a squad of many good players, the Russian team is still a strong candidate for the title of champion of the VTV Cup International Women's Volleyball Championship this year.

The opening match, which is also the highlight, will take place at 7:30 p.m. between the Vietnamese women's volleyball team and the Australian team, with no change in schedule. Coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet has "all the talents", especially the attacking duo Tran Thi Thanh Thuy and Nguyen Thi Bich Tuyen, promising to win against the underdog Australian team. This match will be broadcast live on VTV2, VTV Can Tho and VTV's YouTube and VTVGo platforms.
