Innovate forms and diversify propaganda methods

One morning at Tran Phu Primary School (Thanh Sen Ward), after the flag-raising ceremony, students were given magazines and documents on saving electricity by officials of Ha Tinh Electricity Company. Among them, the comic book “The Secret of the Purple Ball” recently published by the Northern Power Corporation (EVNNPC) in collaboration with The Gioi Publishing House is a new publication to promote saving electricity.

The book is presented in comic form, with vivid, bright images and witty dialogues suitable for school-age children. The content revolves around the journey of discovery of the "Energy Squad" consisting of 6 lovely characters, along with the alien Talot and the talking Purple Ball. Through interesting challenges is the message of saving electricity, from skills to learn how to turn off electrical equipment when not needed, learn about hydropower, wind power, solar power... close, easy to remember and easy to apply.

Ms. Dang Thi Thuy Dung - homeroom teacher of class 5A said: "In the first class and extracurricular activities, we often incorporate content to educate students on saving electricity. The comic book "The Secret of the Purple Ball" is presented in comic form, with eye-catching and funny illustrations, creating excitement for students. No longer dry slogans or theoretical lectures, the innovation in the propaganda of the electricity industry has helped students easily access and remember knowledge about using electricity safely, economically and effectively."

In recent times, Ha Tinh Electricity Company (PC Ha Tinh) has regularly paid attention to propaganda work, mobilizing customers to use electricity safely and economically, following the Government's direction on increasing electricity saving. Annual plans and campaigns have been implemented such as: "Earth Hour"; "Schools join hands to save electricity"; propaganda campaigns through distributing leaflets, posters, loudspeakers, newspapers, social networks, etc.

The company also directed its affiliated electricity management teams to deploy propaganda content, send officers and employees to "go to every alley, knock on every door" to guide people to use electricity economically and effectively; launch an electricity saving movement in agencies and offices...

Mr. Phan Van Anh - Head of Business Department (Ha Tinh Electricity Company) said: "The company has implemented many solutions to improve the effectiveness of propaganda work, especially on digital platforms. Social networking channels, customer care applications, SMS messages, etc. are fully utilized to quickly and effectively convey information, recommendations, and instructions on safe and economical use of electricity. The electricity industry also actively promotes and encourages people and production and business establishments to invest in installing rooftop solar power for self-production and self-consumption, contributing to reducing pressure on the national power system and protecting the environment."

Spread the message "Saving electricity is a habit"

In the first 9 months of 2025, PC Ha Tinh ensured safe electricity supply to over 400,000 customers with commercial electricity output reaching nearly 1.3 billion kWh. Accordingly, in the first 9 months, the whole company saved 33.72 million kWh, equivalent to 2.61% of commercial electricity.

To meet customers' needs, PC Ha Tinh always strives to improve the reliability of power supply associated with proactive operation and stability of the power system; maintain periodic inspection and testing, implement replacement measures, rotate transformers, balance phases, and reasonably share loads between transformer stations; arrange reasonable grid operation methods to ensure safety and reliability under normal conditions and flexibly switch in case of incidents or sudden increases in power consumption.

Electricity saving propaganda programs are creating widespread effects on the community, changing electricity saving habits from the awareness of each person.

Ms. Tran Thi Linh - Thach Ha commune said: "I run a small grocery store, the equipment uses a lot of electricity. Before, I only cared about business, did not pay much attention to saving, but thanks to the electricity staff's guidance on how to arrange a reasonable lighting system, replace old equipment with energy-saving ones, I saw a significant reduction in electricity consumption. The work is small but effective, helping the facility reduce costs and form a regular habit. Now, not only in the store, I also practice the habit of turning off lights, reducing unnecessary electrical equipment of the children in the family".

Saving electricity is a long journey, along with the efforts of the electricity industry, each small action of customers is an important solution contributing to ensuring national energy security, preventing overload, reducing the "heat" of the power grid system. From there, contributing to helping PC Ha Tinh perform well the work of managing and operating the power grid safely, improving the quality of power supply.
