For over a week now, people traveling on Nguyen Trai - Tran Phu Street (Ha Dong) have been surprised to discover a number of construction bunkers occupying half the road.

The above bunkers cause traffic "difficulty" for road users and cause long traffic jams.

On the morning of November 18, Tien Phong reporters recorded that 4 fence construction sites had been erected on Tran Phu Street in the direction of Nga Tu So - Ha Dong, including one construction site right at the intersection of Tran Phu - Vu Trong Khanh.

On Vu Trong Khanh Street, there are more than 10 fenced construction sites that have sprung up over the years. The construction sites are often deserted with workers and construction machinery. These are also the "spots" that cause traffic jams.

The Ha Dong District Inspectorate and the Hanoi Department of Transport Inspectorate said that the bunkers on Vu Trong Khanh Street and even Tran Phu Street that were just built are all part of the Yen Xa wastewater treatment project, invested by the Hanoi Infrastructure and Agriculture Construction Investment Project Management Board (Infrastructure and Agriculture Board).

According to the reporter's investigation, the bunkers on Vu Trong Khanh Street were built in 2022. Due to slow construction, causing traffic congestion, the Hanoi Department of Transport revoked the permit and removed the fences. However, until now, these fences are still lying on the street.

With the newly erected fences on Tran Phu Street, the section from the intersection with Vu Trong Khanh to house number 148 (about 500 meters long) the fence position occupies nearly 3 lanes out of the total 5 lanes/direction of the existing road. Photo: Traffic jam on the morning of November 18.

On the morning of November 18, construction units were completing the fence on Tran Phu Street, saying that the fence was erected to serve the construction of manholes from No. 42.0 to 42.12 under package No. 04 of the Yen Xa wastewater treatment system project.

The Yen Xa wastewater system project, invested by the Hanoi Technical Infrastructure and Agricultural Construction Investment Project Management Board, was approved by the Hanoi People's Committee in 2013. The total investment of the project is more than 16,200 billion VND (about 61,566 million Yen, ODA loan from Japan). The project implementation period is from 2013 to 2021 (Currently, the project is behind schedule for many years).
